I not sure about nero had a quick look it seem it can with xp.why not use the windows built in tool to create the image
if you have a second hard drive you can set it to update the image automatically other wise if you add new programs or games you will have to keep making new disc images.
win 10 and win xp will clash and cause all sorts of problems as they are not compatible.
win xp is no longer supported by microsoft so consider leaving it out altogether
you can install your nero 11 on win 10 software and go to the properties tab and click on the compatibility tab , tick the box and highlight win 10 and apply
