I suddenly lost the color

I'm assuming that you have tried all the color temperatures, the full color setting, the full tint range and the correct input/colorstream to no avail. The only thing left that you can do then is to try to reset it - Menu, Picture, Reset button on the remote.
If even this has failed then the defect is in the tuner - you will have to call a repairman to replace it.

The Red and Blue colors suddenly have come out of

The most likely cause is shorted convergence chips and possibly a few pico fuses.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get a convergenece repair kit with instructions from the links below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

Problem #1) Convergence

Yours may have one or more of the following symptoms...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2
Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

You can see some more examples and find a fix herebb0cf99.pnghttp://www.fixya.com/support/r2861467-solution_video_looking_whiteish_dull

We have just got Toshiba projection tv tw40x81

That sounds like it could be a color wheel. The color wheel controls the color on your picture since the DMD chip only creates a gray scale picture. You'll need to do a little more trouble shooting. Color wheels can cost around $100. They can be replaced on your own, but it's kind of a pain to get to.

The images on my TW40X81 have a RED halo on their

If Red will not move far enough you have one of three things wrong----if the two convergence chips have never been replaced--they are Q751 & Q752 and are black in color---

About 2 1/2 inches wide X 1 1/2 inches tall and mounted side (ON LARGE METAL HEAT SINKS WITH FINS) and they will have the STK-392-110 PRINTED ON THEM IN WHITE.

Either one of them is bad, or one of the 1.8 ohm resistors around them is damaged and off value OR you have a problem in the digital convergence unit--it stores and controls all the convergence adjustments.

I suspect based on your description one of the two chips damaged one of the protect resistors---

You can if you are able to do the repair yourself buy a pair of the chips on Ebay for about 12 dollars plus shipping--I do this for a living and have repaired hundreds of sets with convergence problems.

Let me know if you have questions or need advice--I am here to help people.

Black and White

on a low signal input to the set the first thing you loose is the color, then it goes snowy and then just snowwhite in a snow storm or all blue with no sound.

check your cables for no shorts and loose connections,
sometimes the color killer control inside the set in the color circuit has to be tweaked alittle.

Toshiba 42RV500E sound issue

This is a known issue with this TV. The following might resolve it: Check Mute and Volume: Ensure that the TV is not muted and that the volume is set appropriately. Sometimes accidental button presses can lead to muted sound or low volume. Inspect External Speakers: If you're using external speakers, verify their connections. Loose cables or faulty speakers can cause sound issues. Test Different Inputs: Connect a non-HDMI device (such as a DVD player) to the TV. Observe if the sound distortion occurs. If it doesn't, the problem might be related to the HDMI signal from your Virgin box. HDMI Troubleshooting: If the issue persists with the DVD player over HDMI, consider the following: HDMI Cable: Check the HDMI cable for damage or loose connections. Virgin Signal: Contact Virgin to inspect the signal/lines and replace the box if necessary. Mainboard Replacement (if needed): If the sound distortion persists, it could be due to a faulty sound processor chip on the TV's mainboard. In this case, consider replacing the mainboard. Change batteries on my toshiba se-r0001 remote

  1. Locate the Battery Cover: Look for the battery cover on the back of the remote control. It is usually a small compartment that can be easily opened.
  2. Remove the Battery Cover: Depending on the design, there may be a latch, screw, or sliding mechanism to secure the battery cover. Use your fingers or a small screwdriver to open the compartment.
  3. Remove Old Batteries: Take out the old batteries from the battery compartment. Pay attention to the orientation of the batteries, so you know how to insert the new ones correctly.
  4. Check Battery Polarity: Take note of the positive (+) and negative (-) signs inside the battery compartment. Make sure to insert the new batteries with the correct polarity to match these markings.
  5. Insert New Batteries: Place the new batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring they are properly aligned with the correct polarity. Press them down gently to make sure they are secure.
  6. Replace Battery Cover: After inserting the new batteries, close the battery compartment cover securely. If it has a latch or screw, make sure it is fastened properly.
  7. Test the Remote: Point the remote at the device it controls (such as a Toshiba TV) and test whether it responds to your commands. If the remote is working correctly, you have successfully replaced the batteries.
  8. Dispose of Old Batteries: If the old batteries are no longer usable, make sure to dispose of them properly. Many communities have designated recycling locations for batteries.

Serial numbers don't work Judy https://www.google.com/search?q=A10A13799C3300 They are purely a numerical identifier of when it was made, year, day, number on the shift, whether it Joe or Billy who did final inspection. With a MODEL number I can find them easily with just 'make model manual'.
