The power supply will need to be repaired. This is with any tv that turns itself off and then back on.

Without looking at this it looks like you have a powersupply issue in this tv and the part and repair for this set will be $350.00 respectivly.

I would give you things to try but if the unit is not staying on the unit will need to be opened for a visual inspection. I would highly recommend if your not in this field of repair to not open this tv due to fatal voltages and get a ezpert locally.

I repared some with that problem. Simply change the 2 convergence IC.

Based on your post above it sounds like the chips you tried were knock offs and not original Sanyo chips. They will look almost identical but the knock off chips will only last a month or two.

Here are some of the most common symptoms of a convergence problem.

• Screen looks 3D
• Colors don't line up
• One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
• Screen is bowed or warped.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kits for most models. If you don't see a kit for your set send them a quick email and they will put one together for you. Their kits includes photo instruction guides, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, etc.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Yes,U have some basic machanicals skills?The Toshiba Tv convergence board,it call a Hyper board.Try website Ebay.com to buy a refurbish board.This board no longer produced by Toshiba,if can't find it.The Convergence 2 STK ICS,and some or all it resistors,must replaced manually.Must have tools,and knowing how to do basic soldering,to do this.

try your Local TV Shops ask them if they have any for Sale and you can Look on Ebay under Electronics.Prices range $100.00- $500.00 new

From what you have described it sounds like a faulty Adapter. Whenthe adapter goes bad, it neither charges the battery or runs on AC power more so if you don't see the charge light being on when the laptop is turned off.

It sounds like a convergence problem; in the customer menu there is a way to confirm----if red or blue are skewed and will not adjust in some area of the picture you need to replace both convergence chips--the model indicated uses two of the STK-392-110 chips.


Not the most easy set to do this repair on; involves getting at them and replacing both.

Total parts cost should be under 30 dollars on Ebay.

Hi, This is a convergence problem and you can set it right by changing the STKs. It is a professional job and i have knowledge of people who ruined their tv by spoiling some miniature surface mounted components close by. You may need to look at pico fuses too. You have an intermittent connection, or a "Dry Solder Joint" or perhaps a Plug that is loose.. These can be real hard to track down. You are going to have to take it in for repair to a reputable repair.Service center. Get a firm "Quote" for repair.Shouldn't bee too costly though.
