The instructions are in your TV manual, but because of the complexity of the TV and it's features, it may be difficult to find. I believe it is on P. 31 (at least of the manual I got online). You'll need to connect a TV antenna appropriate for your area. If broadcast sites are close (line of site) a simple bookshelf antenna will work. With the antenna connected, and the antenna input selected in setup, you allow the TV to scan for local channels in your area. I hope this helps you.
