The model number/brand indicated here (if wrong let me know) is a DLP set---means it uses a lamp---lamp is suspect number one.Lamp is customer replaceable and easy to change--if you locate it and remove it-(it has a screw or two and a handle--cartridge with lamp pulls out) it is a good idea also to look at the color wheel -the lamp faces the wheel--if wheel is shattered or missing pieces it is the problem.You are when pull lamp out looking to see if it is shattered inside--do not touch face of lamp with your hand and of course have set off and unplugged when you do this.If the lamp--Google the model number with "lamp" and you will find dozens of sellers.If the wheel is bad--do same to locate and You Tube has video instructions for replacing it---average people can do the repair themselves.color wheelTypical lamp cartridge (not yours but similar)SD TECH

There is a high possibility that the components over a period of heating and cooling, tend to bring on a problem of dry soldering. So my advice is to check the set for some loose joints that have played on to give you these erratic shut downs or poor performance. The best way to check for loose connections is to tap lightly when the set is powered on, if there is change while tapping then it seems that there are DRY solder joints. Remove main plug, the covers - with caution of high voltage, check for dry joints, and use a good soldering iron to solder all suspected points. Sometimes the fault occurs when the set warms up; if so you can simulate the heat using a hair dryer on the suspected areas, try with the power supply, distribution, Processor controller, driver controllers on the A/V related sections. Also the use a FREEZE-IT spray can simulate the components to cool and show up the fault. It can also be related to WEAK ELECTROLYTIC capacitors as the value can reduce in time. Based on the above method you must be able to locate the area of fault and solder the sections.

You have to check is there is any faulty electrolytic capacitor in the power supply if so then this problem can occur. Check the power supply board for any budged or leaked electrolytic capacitor which will look like one the picture. If the electrilytic capacitor is faulty then the output current of the power supply drops and the tv will shuts off at a regular intervals.

One of the most reasons that the samsung DLP tv will stop working is that the emergency switch on the back gets caught in the wrong position and makes your tv to turn off. Try to check the switch it is located under the lamp cover door. Good day and best regards.

one more thing you need to look out for is the ballast. The ballast ignites the lamp. They both work and to hand.
Once more cause of the problem could be a power problem. The symptoms of lamp, ballast and power problems are similar.

The tv "LAMP"LED light indication flashes or stay lit?The tv projection lamp been in this tv like 1/2 or 2 years?Tv been on and used like 4 or 5 hours a day?Yes,than the tv projection lamp life are over.Require a new tv projection lamp.

Before it went out, was the sound like a fan or high pitched in nature?

Lamp can be removed (is is customer replaceable) to see if shattered inside.

I suspect a bad color wheel, which is not hard to replace. See attached photo of color wheel.

Examine lamp and if not shattered do not buy one to try.

HLP4674 is a good model number but the 4676 does not show.

It sounds like you have a color wheel about to fail. It can make a high pitched sound that can be mistook for a fan like sound and is quite common to fail in these sets--I will attach a photo--it turns at 14,000 rpm and sooner or later the bearings in the little motor get bad.

Confirm actual model number and I will get you part number====several sites have written and even video instructions for replacing it and the part averages between 80 and 130 depending on model--

This can be a do it yourself job depending on your skill level.

The lamp is in the rear of the set and is a square shape with 4 screws. You will need a Phillips screwdriver to remove the panel and then the lamp housing.

If the lamp has been replaced I would think the Lamp ballast would be most likliest followed by the color wheel and then the Digital board. You can get any part needed for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com just leave them a email they respond quickly.

It could be your Light Engine if so they are NOT cheap,look up UED for cost and part.union electronic ditr.
