Hi Eloy, There is some short circuit further up in the power supply. You have tried what you could do. Let some Tv Tech do the job onwards. Or if you are handy with some basic electronics knowledge I could suggest something. Good luck.

No. This is a DLP TV. It gets it's color by a color wheel. If color seems to drift across screen or there is a loud-ish whining noise from back of TV that you can here clear across a room, then this color wheel may be bad. They wear out.

Hey friend: most probably' 1) either your lamp was NOT installed correctly, or 2) lamp is bad - (it happened to me once, so no sweat!) - in this case you need to return the lamp in exchange for a new one. Please watch any of the 'how to change the lamp on a dlp tv' video demo available on YouTube. Its not difficult. I already changed mine 3 or 4 times. Thanks

A number of Samsung projection TV and LCD TV had bad capacitors. There was even a class-action lawsuit (which is over). It happened to one of mine. If you open up the TV and find the control board you will fine 1 or 2 capacitors that have split on top like a little mushroom. I have them replaced and the TV woks just fine. Amazon even has kits if your a DIY person and can soder.

It sounds like the main power supply has a bad capacitor. its a typical issue with a lot of electronic. look on the main power board that the outlet cord comes in to the TV and check all the cylindrical components for swelling, leakage, or singe makes.

All 3 lights on front blinking? Lamp bad. Open lamp door and check lamp.

Be sure this part # is a match to your complete model# B4 trying to order, this site lists the various models this pt# fits.ALSO considering the age, they may not be able to get anymore of these.I recommend calling to confirm. As for firmware updates, that info can be found at Samsung web site: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact under product support. you might also check at the Samsung web site for the Main PCB. expect it to be much higher & please have your complete Model & Serial numbers available when you contact anyone.

More common is storms wreck the cable box. But try unplugging power to everything for 1 minute. and retry.

I assumes that the process repeats ON nd OFF. If so there should be some shorted component in its main digital board, and is a skilled work to troubleshoot. This is not a user reparable work. If you are not familiar with electronics, do not attempt to repair. Whether you suffer fatal electrical shock! Instead, contact any experienced service technician, or the nearest service center.

Sounds like a defective main board. Something not right in your audio circuit.

Make sure that all of your cables / wires are connected properly. You can also check to see if the TV input is set to set to RGB.

Most likely your problem is on the DMD Assy Board P/N BP96-00249A . More presicely there is a few bad electronic components on that board that are bad. That board can be repaired by replacing the bad components (and the other few compoonents that are probly going bad and will soon cause your tv to lockup and lose remote and button functions when it fails so you will need to unplug it to get it on again).
Or the DMD board can be replaced .But it is not a cheap board.
For removal and Installation of the DMD board I would reccomend a tv service person because it is in the heart of the television and there are some adjustements to be made when the new board is installed.
To get the new board you could probably find it by just gooogling the part number.
Component level repair would require some experience in desoldering and soldering SMT,SMD , and or surface mount components.The actual components are about $15.00 total so just repairing your board should cost about $125.00 by a qualified servicer (if you were to remove and install it yourself). This DMD board is used in many models and can a few common problems.

SYMPTOMS:
-Intermittant picture freezing with a negative looking B/W frozen picture.
-Intermittant loss of pic with/without shutdown,abnormal color wheel noise if attempted to start after shutdown.
-lockup of tv control functions . Remote and front keypad do nothing , TV must be unplugged to reset .
-horizantal tearing, distortion , flippnig , solarization , red picture, leading to blank screen and lockup.(tv menu would be affected by all picture defects).

Check or replace the video cord, if its an rca connection it will be the yellow one, usually they are in a group of 3 yellow red and white)if its coaxial (it would generally be a single black cable with a metal screw on end make sure they are tight on both the set and the box.Sorry but when my rear projection did this it was a circuit board that controlled the back lights. A trip to the repair store was needed.

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..1. Open the back cover of your TV.2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

Double check when replaced wheel all the plugs went in right---does lamp come on for a moment and then go out?If lamp never even for a second or two comes on suspect Ballast.

Hook up a known working lamp.
