Was wondering if you got set fixed yet? STK-392-180s are the ics I use when repairing convergence.Replace both chips.

usually on your model it might be best to replace the entire deflection board as your model has two STK394-250 ICs and then 12 3.9 ohm fusible resistors that will need to be checked and possibly replaced. Your Convergence output is burnt.DONT turn that TV on until convergence IC's are replaced,orange glowing inside that you see it is resistors that overheating and burning.Unplug TV from outlet before more damage is done

Your Convergence Ic's need repalced. There are 2 of them and they are soldered in.

Thanks for using FixYa.The issue is with the failed convergence (STK) ICs which needs to be replaced. It's not a difficult job if you want to do this yourself, you should require some basic knowledge about soldering-resoldering components. To start with you'll have to open the back of the unit and then replace the ICs (STK ICs) which are located behind the black heat sink and also check the resistors as if they are short the ICs might blow again after sometime. There are repair kits available which includes repair instructions with the parts, if you want to do it yourself, you can buy and repair it yourself. Convergence ICs need to be replaced.

Type in your Model # for Parts List Just replace the whole convergence board ,if you can solder just order STKs big black ICs will have PN# on them. 1-800-628-1118 and sometimes its Faster,Cheaper in the long run.just to replace the whole board.

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.
This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.
