Sounds like you need to pull the jumper from the DMD board.
That is the board the color wheel wires plug in to.
On the back side of the board (facing back of the tv) , the side with the heatsink on it, there will be a little window or square opening in the shield. There will be a jumper there you need to pull with some needle nose pliers (if there is no jumper, then you will need to add one - it uses a standard computer hard-drive type jumper)
basically, these use two types of colorwheels, and the jumper tells it which type you have in there
if you have the jumper issue, you will see different colors in your picture, but they will be all wrong, like the blues will be red, etc.. if the pic is all brown, something else may be at fault.
sometimes when you replace the colorwheel, you may need to adjust some data in the service menu, let me know if the jumper doesn't fix, and we can address this later, as it can backfire and shouldn't be messed with unless necessary.
