Security light flashing , car
If this is a GM vehicle with the VATS security system: set parking brake, turn ignition on( make sure it's ignition and not accessory) and wait. This is a sooft reset. It takes about ten minutes. The security light will flash the entire time. After approximately ten minutes the security light will come on solid and then go off. You may now start the vehicle.
Note: the parking brake is set to turn off the headlights while the vehicle's ignition is on.

84 Camaro with 86 engine
Hi! supafuzzy
After recharging the battery, load test, a bad battery dirty terminal could be a problem. With the engine running what is the Voltage at the alternator and battery. It should have 13.4 to 13.8 Volts, at both locations. R&R Alternator. This should be the voltages at the fuse pannel. The HEI ignition needs good voltage for a hot spark. Other things to check if alternator and fuse panel have good voltage, Ignition Switch, Fuse Panel, Connections at Distributor.

What's the easiest way to
u will need a floor jack, block of wood, assorted tools, and a torque wrench
Turn off the engine and disconnect the negative battery cable. Gain full access to the engine mount.
Support the engine oil pan using a jack and a block of wood. Remove the bolt that holds the engine mount to the frame. Lift the engine and mount off of the frame using the jack. Once raised, remove the bolt that holds the mount to the engine. Remove the engine mount.
Attach the new engine mount to the engine with the original bolt. Lower the engine.
Attach the engine mount to the frame. Tighten all mounting bolts to the manufacturer's specifications. Reconnect any components that may have been removed. Test drive the vehicle to verify the repair.

Working on a 2002 Cavalier
Have you tried disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for about 15 minutes. Let the BCM reset. The lock being unplugged may have corrupted the BCM.
