There are two ways of accessing tablet files: 1) wireless access which requires a sync app on your tablet and PC software of the same app type. Your PC should read your tablet as an external drive: Open "My Computer" and double-click the tablet drive icon>search your subfolders for your pictures. Highlight your picture files and either copy and paste or drag and drop (different way of copy/paste) to your desktop (or desired location), copies will be transferred but not moved from the tablet unless you "cut and paste" from your table to PC to clear out your tablet and make more space. When done, unplug your tablet cable from the PC. Plug in your flash drive to the available USB port: access the flash drive icon on My Computer. Drag and drop or copy and paste picture files to your flash drive.

Plug in your tablet, hold the power button while also hold downing the home button (white, black or silver button on front of tablet beside the return key) until the battery icon shows on the tablet. If this doesn't work and you are still under warranty send it back to Samsung. If no longer under warranty you will need to remove the entire back of the Tab and disconnect the battery from the motherboard. I do not give advice on doing this and you will have to look elsewhere for that procedure. I hope the simple fix works.
