first of all what area are you living in in Philippines 220v as there is voltage rating differences in Dubai Djibouti 220v Dominica 230v Dominican Republic 120v Dubai 230v 64 other voltages. 50Hz the board will be set for country of origin, this could mean the power board can be getting more than the ratings need, there will be voltage regulating chips on the power board, main voltage can handed depending on the chip installed up to 600 volts but the other parts cannot handle low voltage or high voltage, this could mean a spike in voltage may not blow but it may weaken the voltage out. i.e capacitors- voltage regulators or even diodes. these have to be checked.

I had a similar problem. Take the batteries out of the remote, press down on the number 5 for about two minutes the put the batteries back in. This worked for me.
(I got this tip from a telesales advisor. I was close to buying a replacement remote but this tip worked. Hope it does for you. I'm not sure on the science part of it but it basically resets the remote. Good luck)

I have the same problem. I brought a Samsung 46" in July 07 and on Jan 8, 2008, video went blue.

I called Samsung and sent out technician and they replaced the motherboard.

Two hours later, same problem occured. I called today and Electronic Company thinks I have a bad LCD panel.
