Aside from recovering with your google account a factory reset is the only other option. You may be able to plug the device into a computer and get the pictures / data off, but some devices do not allow this while locked.

I believe you have to "root" the Android operating system to change the download directory. Android systems all use special directories or folders for most common operations. That is why all Android phones have a Download, a Music, a Camera (and/or DCIM), a Photo, and a Video directory or folder. You have to change commands in the Android operating system to point elsewhere, and to do that you need root access.

You cannot do that. Both are Bluetooth masters and will not accept data from other Bluetooth masters. They will transmit to Bluetooth slave devices, such as speakers and headphones. That can receive signals from other Bluetooth devices such as mice and keyboards as input only.

The Samsung cells that I have seen and tested have internal temperature, voltage, and current sensors. If the temperature rises, the sensor can disconnect the power and the cell seems to have a short life. Letting the cell cool down will return it into operation. If the sensor fails, the phone will see it as being cold, and will stop charging it. If the charge voltage exceeds 4.3 V, the internal circuit will stop the charge, and disconnect the cell to protect it. If the cell voltage drops below 2 V, the same circuit will disconnect and prevent the cell from dropping to a non-recoverable level, damaging the material inside. If the current is high, the current sensor can disconnect the cell to protect it, and after a cool down the circuit reconnects. But if something actually shorts the cells contacts, the current rises too high and an internal fuse blows, protecting the cell, but rendering it useless.

The charge port is soldered to the main board. Unless you know how to do micro soldering, get an expert to remove the bad jack and replace it. It may cost you more than a new S3 phone. I recommend upgrading to a S4 or S6 model (even number models are better).
