It sounds that the audio output IC overheats. This may happen if the contact between IC and its heat sink became loose. Check it.

Most likely the lower buffer board " E " needs to be replaced. Right now I'm working on repairing a 42" Samsung plasma HP-R4272. The Service manual for that TV says for trouble shooting for that problem is the lower buffer board " E ".
Best to find the correct Service Manual for your TV over the internet to get the correct part number for replacement. The Service Manual should be less than $20.

I will presume it is a Plasma as indicated here----lines top/bottom or left right are not easy to fix as far as knowing what to replace.Set has a main board that communicates with the screen and directs information there--can be in one of three general areas:1. Main Signal board (most likely)2. Power supply as voltages are critical (less likely)3. Display panel (the screen unit itself with a defect inside it) the last is least likely but possible.
