My 61" Samsung DLP has loud Buzzing sound - Everything else ok
There are only 2 moving parts on a dlp tv the color wheel and the fan. The color wheel needs to be replaced about every 4 to 5 years. Some start to make noise and others like mine blow up with a bang. Go to utube to get instructions on how to replace it only cost me for part $100 good luck
Tv tcl-14175 no sound on channels but ok on audio video mode
Hi
The first problem was always standby mode.... get back the original eprom IC 24CO8WP in to the PCB, then find the original remote control of you TCL Tv tcl-14175 then you power On In the Remote control while your TV is in Standby mode! then you see your tv is going ON... Because your unit is in Child lock Mode....
thanks!
Popping and fading of sound
The "popping" sound could be electricity jumping from one place to another. An internal SHORT in a transistor, an internal OPEN in a resistor.Intermittent [sometimes it does, sometimes it dose not] arcing electronic parts.
Dust [metal filings, very fine hair that burns like a fuse] & dirt [anything metal], arcing (shorted) capacitors.Bad connections on ANY ground connector.
Possible:: your surround sound MASKED the popping sounds by acting like a FILTER.Which lets me to think that your problem is in the audio section.
Samsung big screen tv has white dots thousands of them
My Samsung was fixed for "free." Call Samsung service 800 number. When asked why you are calling tell them it is about the white dots problem. The tech said he would help me solve the issue and provide me with repair order from a local Electronics dealer. I was given a work order number by the tech and did receive a call from the local repair organization. My DLP is over 36 months old so I asked if this was a "no charge" fix. He assured me that it is. Low and behold I am 100% satisfied with Samsung and the standing behind the product. The fix is a chip replacement that Samsung is well aware of.

TV only works on HD stations
Your TV has an SD/ED component input and an HD component input. You are using the HD input. It can only accept HD signals. You need to correct the settings in you cable box. You need to "fix" the video output so that it converts everything to HD. If you have a motorola box, you can usually turn the box off and press the menu button to access the cable box setup menu. Set the 4:3 override to Stretch or Full. If you need more help with this, post back with more information: cable provider, cable box used. I hope this was of some assistance.
