Codes universal remote will any universal remote work on my system

Most universal remotes have many codes for many manufacturer's products stored in them. They may not have the exact code for your device, but they probably have codes that will work most of the functions of your device. If you'd like one that has direct mapping to keys, you'll need a learning remote. These remotes allow you to point your remote's IR emitter at the learning remote's IR emitter/receiver and map any or all of the buttons to the buttons you choose. On mine, I created a spreadsheet ahead of time that shows what buttons are mapped to which commands.

Why do my RCA Model

Hmmm, lack of ventilation, shorted speakers or wire, excessive volume?

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as a root cause for intermittent shutdown.

Is there any way or solution to use RCA RT 2390

No,unless you somehow modify the power supply by putting a 220vac to 115vac transformer. If you just used it without the mod, it would probably catch on fire or something like that.

With the volume at 40(

Shutdown will be caused by overvoltage on the input or shortcircuit/low resistance on the output. Remove the speakers one by one at the same volume level. If the problem persists with all the speakers removed the unit is faulty and needs to be sent in for repair.Did you change or reconfigure/rewire the outputs/speakers recently?
If the resistance(impedance) on the output is too low it will cause the unit to shut down. Wiring additional speakers incorrectly will cause this. If a speakers' voice coil is starting to fail you will get the same result. Remove one speaker at a time until the unit no longer shuts down in order to identify the channel that is causing the problem.

Hmm. let me see if I get U correctly. you use u'r theater system with a TV and the audio is fed via optical or U have DVD player that you can feed the audio via optical or coax. I think it is the later, if it is U could be having trouble with sound decoding setting of the DVD player itself. It's like mpeg out or PCM out instead of full DTS or 5.1 dolby digital decoding. If this is the case just use u'r dvd remote and check the audio play back settings. If this does not solve u'r problem, pls state u'r set up briefly, so tht I can understand the type of connection u use. Happy troubleshooting Rifaa
