Programming a device using the Code Lists:

1. Find codes for each device and brand below.
2. Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH.
3. Press and release the TV, VCR or Cable button you want to set up. If programming AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device to be programmed (TV, VCR or Cable). When the selected device button flashes proceed to the next step.
4. Enter the three digit code from the TV, VCR or Cable Box code lists.
   
   
5. Release CODE SEARCH.
6. With the device on, press another button, for example CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-5 using another code number from the lists.

Most RCA sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The code reset is different depending on the model. Try each number until you find the one that works for you.

1. Hold down the MENU button on the remote and VOLUME DOWN button on the TV it's self at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked

2. Hold down the 0 (zero) button on the remote and the VOLUME DOWN button on the TV itself at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked

3. Hold down the MENU button on the front of the TV and the TV button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. 4- Hold down GO BACK button on the remote and MENU button on the front of the TV at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Hold down EJECT button on the front of the TV set and the MENU button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Depending on the model, one of the methods should unlock the V-chip. Now, if desired, you can change the settings on the V-chip by going to the MENU and going to PARENTAL CONTROLS, or on some sets, going to MENU and then going to TV SETUP, then to V-CHIP SET.

i need the codes for rca rcr6473r i have a go.video vcr dvd combo...

If you have the owner manual for the remote try all the panasonic codes or google for that with the model number of the remote--not all remotes will program for all models and if programs it may be missing key features the original remote had.

RCA's site list codes 25 and 006 for Magnavox cable boxes. Maybe one of these will work for the converter. The RCA site has a link so you can look up codes. Click on "find your remote control codes here" and pick your model number, then the type of device you want to control. If the codes I gave don't work, maybe try some of the other brands of cable box codes. You might find one that will work.

Try 003, 054, 055, 062, 070, 148, 149, 170 or 171. They seem to be consistent numbers for the Panasonic TV's.
You might have to enter a different code for the VCR.
Try 246, 285, 334, 340, 350, 363, 373 or 374.

I couldn't find any codes in my library for a TV/VCR combination so the remote might have to be coded separately for each component.
