NO SOUND
Unplug the power to the tv for couple of minutes; replug and should have sound!
My old 32 inch rca
The usual cause is a shorted horizontal output transistor. The way this chassis is designed, the supply makes 140 volts which is always on and applied to the transistor. The heavy load on the power supply causes it to make that chirping sound as it keeps trying to start, then shuts down right away.
The h-out is Q14401, RCA part number 237470. A 2SC5148 can replace it.
Vertical Stretch
You need to adjust "vertical height" in the service program. You need to put the set in "service mode" to do this adjustment. If you google "enter service mode RCA F32665" you should find the procedure. It will be listed in abbreviated letters such as VERT SIZE or VERT HT. Follow the instructions for entering service mode and saving the data closely!! The data you change will be listed as a number between 1 and 63. The number will only need to reduced by a small amount and you can still see the picture behind the data and watch it shrink as you adjust the number down.Always burn the new number to memory (if required) before exiting service mode. Good luck

RCA F32665 Shows only gray screen, sound works.
You have a problem in the video circuit. Any video that comes into the set is not getting to the picture tube. The menus come from the system control microprocessor. This shows that the input at the picture tube itself is working. Also you system control is working.
The signal would have to be traced through the set to find out where the loss is originating.

BROKE PART OFF TV-RCA F32665
Hi, some of those units have whats called a "RF cable" running from the back of the set to the tuner, and some are directly spot welded to the tuner, you need to remove the back from your set and see if yours is a short cable to the tuner, otherwise you have to replace the whole tuner, check the back of your set and you`ll see on a sticker the complete model number, (few numbers or letters after F32665) this is referred to as the service model number and I can look up exactly what you need to change
TV will not turn on
The F25261TX3 is a 25 inch set that uses the CTC185 series chassis. The 2 most common causes for the set not turning on are a corrupt EPROM and a bad regulator or resistor in the main power supply. This is also the chassis notorious for cracks on the shields around the tuner and microprocessor which causses the EPROM to go corrupt. These are relatively easy and simple things to correct, but the set should be serviced and modified by a qualified tech familiar with that RCA chassis.
PICTURE IN PICTURE TV RCA
The PIP puts a smaller picture on your main picture. Usually, the smaller picture is generated by a second source, such as a VCR. The VCR must be connected to the main cable signal and connected to the TV through the red, white, yellow RCA jacks. The VCR picks the smaller picture whilt the tuner in the TV picks the main pucture. The PIP circuits digitally add the smaller picture to the larger picture. The PIP cannot be used to veiw 2 different channels at once on satellite systems because the satellite receiver sends only one channel to the set at a time.
