DVD is stuck in the TV set.
there should be a small hole next to the dvd tray where you can insert a straightened out paper clip and manually push the tray open.

Why does a TV remote control quit working?
Assuming you have changed the batteries, you might try blowing around the edges of the keys with "canned air" spray.
Most likely you can go to a drug store and buy a "universal" remote that will serve as a cheap replacement.
NOTE WELL: check out the "universal" remote's labeling and online to make sure it is compatible with your set BEFORE buying.

Remote Control Stopped working
We have the same problem with remote controls for a Panasonic TV - we have two identical Panasonic remotes that both worked, but now neither one does. Any ideas out there? Thanks.

Broksonic DVD/VCR
First of all if it's just the fact that your DVD players tray won't open on your tv then you'll have to manually open it. Before you even attempt to try and pry the player open you would (the next time you can) find out where the tray gear is that opens and closes it. It would be the big black gear I assume. Once, you find that then you'd have to use a flat ridged object (like say a plastic knife) and slide it in and push on the gear until it opens. But, if you're having problems with playing the disc that's a whole different story. Other than that you could just buy a different TV. This time with a seperate dvd player. Those are easier to fix.
