Check your manual for resetting the TV to 'Factory Default'. I have heard of this happening before. It may need you to press a combination of buttons on your remote. Usually you have to be pressing the buttons in sequence with the TV in standby, then wait for a service menu to appear. Look through this menu for the words 'Factory Reset'. It may be in a sub menu. The TV may well switch itself back off and then on again. At which point your problem should have gone away.

First of all, try holding down the MENU button for about 15 seconds.

Plug in the power cord in the Power Jack (DC in) located in the bottom of the LCD Television. This is where the Jack is located.

Usually when this happens, you have to go into the menu and do another channel search (auto search) or scan, but make sure you have all your cable, wires hooked up properly. the issue here is with the back light on this LCD TV.

What you can do to check this in most cases is hold a flash light to the screen to check to see if there is a image, if so then your back light is the problem and another one would need to be ordered for your tv.

worse case scenario is the inverter that controls the back light as well that might not be firing.

It more likely to either be the 24vdc power supply is not wrking or failed backlight inverter board, need to find out if it has 24vdc feeding the inverter board first.

replace the capacitors, the surface mount fuses and the

surface mount FET's ( SO-8 package.. there are 4 of them )

the original part is obsolete..
replace with Alpha & Omega Semiconductor part #: AO4622

Hello,

the problem is from your LCD's picture board or inverter, that's why there is not display on your LCD. The Picture board is in charge of display, so if there is no display, the picture board has to be checked.

The picture board has to be replace or repaired depending on what happened to it, before there can be any display on the LCD.

The extent at the picture board is damaged, will determine whether it will be repaired or replaced.

Ur LCD inverter board have problems before,now the board it dead.U must replaced the LCD inverter board to repair this to get picture back.The board is long in shape.Tries Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish LCD inverter board for the replacement.

The inverter is out a very common problem on that unit. www.lcdrepair will fix the unit for $59

Well this is an uncommon problem with dell LCD TV, anyway this problem seems due to a shorting problem in the control unit. you can try a reset method...... turn off your TV for 10 hours and then check it again, it helps you to reset your TV.

Take the number (s) off the board and do a Google or Bing search. Thats' the only way with a Dell.

To unlock the OSD menu lock, press the Menu button again and it will bring up the OSD Lock menu. Then press the '+' button to unlock the menu.
