A bad ground connection?. Try tightening the nut on the phono plug first. You can pull out that section where the cable hooks into and visually check the solder connections.

That number indicates a Chimese mad Squier from 1999.

Assuming you mean MN rather than NM, that would be made in Mexico in 1999.

That should be 1972-73. Value will depend on condition and your location's market, but I would say arounf $1000 in very good condition with the case in my area.

Your guitar was made in 2006.

I have no way to judge without more info. You'd need to provide make, model and serial number at a minimum. As far as a celebrity owner, you'd need documentation and pictures of the instrument in their hands for it to be more than just hearsay.

The "CY" means that is was build in China by Yako. However the first 2 numbers indicate year made,but 21 doesn't fit the form.Double check those first 2 numbers. Is it a Strat or Telecaster.Either way most Chinese Squires go for $130-$200 ish.

You first need to deterime where the problem is, in the amp or the guitar? Plug the guitar into another amp, and then another guitar into the amp. Also try a different cord. That will isolate were your problem actually is, then we can better help you.

Try MFG web site, and or email their customer service. They "should" have a record of all their serial numbers.

I have seen one on the internet. Person is ASKING $1000.00 I don't see any takers. Have you brought it to a local guitar shop? Did you try calling a shop in New York, Los Angeles or Texas? Unfortunately, Fender acoustics are not as popular as Vintage Martins, Early Gibsons and some arch top jazz models. You could try your luck with Ebay or Craigslist??? Try contacting Alto Music at (845) 692-6922 They are very knowledgable.

Hi Timothy: I'd try to Google with as much info as possible with the intent of hooking up with a chat group of like minded musicians. There are a bunch of us out there who really appreciate some of the vintage instruments.
