Hi there,
Vizio were a bit sneaky with this one. It's not exactly obvious, but there
is an eject "button" on the front of the player. However, it is not a physical button, simply a touch-sensitive area of the front panel. This is located just to the right of the disk tray and will be illuminated when the player is switched on. I've ringed this in red in the picture:
You only need to touch the panel where the "button" is and the tray should open. However, there may be a slight delay between pressing it and the tray opening, so only touch it once and wait for a few seconds before trying again if it doesn't open. If you press it again too soon, you will send a 'close tray' command to the player and it wont open.
As for the remote, if it's only the eject button not working then it's almost certainly a faulty remote rather than a fault with the player. If the unit is still under warranty, you should contact Vizio for a replacement.
If it's not under warranty, you should be able to obtain a replacement remote from either Vizio or one of the many replacement remote suppliers on the internet. eBay is also a good place to look and is often the cheapest way to get a replacement. The other alternative is to buy a universal remote or program one of your other remotes to work with the Vizio player.
If you are unable to open the tray or you need the number for Vizio warranty, please let me know. I can also help you find a replacement remote if required.

Hope this helps.
