I wouldn't want to make big guesses without actually seeing the
circuit boards myself. Every LCD TV brand and when it was made is different on how they use the protection mode. The most newer TV turns
themselves OFF automatically and flash a red light trouble code.
The best way to go about this is to have the Service Manual for the TV. That way, you'll have the
circuit schematics for the board. It will also have test points for voltages on the board. Basically, everything you need as far as part numbers list, diagrams, and testing procedures.

I would test each mini transformer on the board to see if one has burned out by an open circuit or a short. There is a
possibility the LCD controller board is the problem. The Service Manual will help you out big time to find the problem. Replacement parts can be found over the internet by searching with the part number off the Service Manual.
