You have the wrong settings on the DVR, go to DVR menu system or camera settings and change the setting from PAL to NTSC.

a few possibilities: hard drive plug came disconnected somehow hard drive plug/wires are bad hard drive is shot. you may want to try to contact the manufacturer before attempting to open it to find the problem, if your hard drive is bad you will probably need to get the operating system/format programming to load onto a new hard drive. best bet is to find a contact for them and see if they sell replacement parts, my guess is the hard drive is bad. it happens, it sucks, and it can be expensive, the upside is if you are careful and take your time it is usually pretty easy to take the bad one out and put a nwe one in... good luck

Depends what you mean by pairing. The device allows you to view via a Swann app on your 2 mobile phones. So you can watch CCTV video streaming simultaneously on the 2phones or any compatible Android / iPhone device.

1st lets figure out how old your swann cameras are?? If they are within say 5rs old and are digital. Then the answer is YES they should work no problem. After all a digital signal is a digital signal. Unless encrypted of course. Given you have the correct connectors that go from the camera to DVR you should be fine. If not, you can find adapters at any decent electronics store. Kinda like Radio Shack used to be. The answer is with tech support and no in open forums where anyone getting the super password could abuse it. Or call a tech pro in your area.

Check the hard drive. Could be bad or not formatted. Also, try rebooting the system. Could be a defective unit.

What model? It should be recording still on playback unless it is an older model that dies not have triplexing ability.
