Cods for a sharp tv

Hello

Four digit remote codes for Sharp TV are:-

0079 0123 0063 0020 0004 0009 0226 0266 0006 0095 0122

Three digit universal remote codes for Sharp TV are:-

004/ 009/ 079/ 095/ 111/ 112/ 114/ 122/ 123/ 124/ 173

Direct Code Entry
  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.
Code Search If after trying "Direct Code Entry" your device does not respond, or if your brand is not listed, try doing a search of the code library for your code by following these steps.
  1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  3. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks once, then stays on.
  4. Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  5. Press and release MUTE to install the code. The indicator light goes off.
Most users will want to store VCR codes under the VCR button, Cable codes under CBL, etc. If you want to store a VCR code under CBL, etc., first follow the procedure for Direct Code Entry and press CBL in step 2 of Direct Code Entry, then enter ANY VCR code in step 3 of Direct Code Entry. Then follow the steps above for Code Search.

My tv was on, the tv went black, the tv was making

The clicking is caused by the relay that supplies AC to the main power supply. It disconnects repeatedly because there is a fault on the output of the main supply or within the supply itself. If this action didn't happen, it could cause a fire or trip your household breaker. Since this is a CRT type set, I would be checking for a shorted horizontal output transistor or a failed fly-back transformer with which this transistor works to produce high voltage for the CRT and the signal that moves the sweep back and forth across the width of the screen.
The transistor replacement with labor wouldn't be terribly costly if done by an honest tech but if the fly-back transformer has failed, it may not be available any more and would in any case cost $60-100 US plus labor. These two parts will often fail nearly simultaneously as the result of one of them going first, then damaging the other.

The screen on my big screen is black it still

Hi,

If all the following apply to your set:

(1) Adjusting the brightness and seeing that video is present (just black)

(2) The TV's menu system is visible on screen even though no images are

(3) Your particular SHARP model supports picture in picture mode

Then I suspect that the problem is your TV's picture-in-picture sub-board. All external video sources & the internal tuners must pass through this board before being processed and displayed on the picture tube (even when PIP is not enabled). As far as I am aware SHARP does not provide this board as a spare part anymore, but they can be repaired at the component level if the failed component is a generally available device.

No sound and screen sharp tv 20"

Hi,

Would you be able to be more specific about the behavior of the set, for example does anything happen at all when powered? ie does the standby light come on? does it try to turn on and then go back to standby? or is the set totally dead?

Thanks

I have an older Sharp TV. The color of the screen

Hi,

This problem can result from the aging of various components within your set, in general with older TVs, particularly sets of 15 years or older for example tend to suffer from capacitors that degrade - effectively reducing the maximum level of picture illumination available. Another issue for old sets that have been used extensively is that of the picture tube's electron gun aging, over time the gun produces fewer electrons to fire at the phosphor coating hence causing less "glow" - this can be sometimes improved by adjustments to the tube. All in all the set may require a decent service to ***** what aged components need replacing. Some later TVs do have a trimpot on the flyback transformer to allow the tube's brightness to be increased, but most older sets lacked this feature. SHARP did have this feature on many of it's 90s TVs but it needs to be adjusted with care by suitable techs due to the dangerous voltages present.

Hope this info is of some help, Regards.

TV struck by lightning

Looks like the flyback (high voltage transformer and probably the majority of the power board is kaput. It would be cheaper and probably worth your while to invest in a new TV rather than try to fix this one..

Tv picture going off

This is the best solution for your problem as a 40 year experience with wires etc. Go to the source of your cable signal connector . Open it and clean the terminals with emery paper , sand the end of the cable shiny clean from corrosion , get a new barrel connectors with gold terminals if possible lengthen the ends of the cable , insert and tighten good, use thick rg-16 or rg 40 cable with good insulation ends crimped professionally with a crimpier or buy ready made , not from dollar store. Get a gold plated professional splitter if you need one or two , it will cost about 15 or more each . Make the cable runs as short as possible, using the thick good cables. If needed get a signal magnifier. From radio shack or the source etc. Connect them good and tight . Ground the splitters . Problem solved , you will get crystal clear channel 2 to 7 including 3 and 4 . Isolate the TV cable from other cables and power wires. Vitally

How do I remove a Vchip from a Sharp TV no code?

Default code is "0000" on most sharps to enter the V-chip settings. If not you will have to reset the password which is listed in the manual if you have it.
Clearing the password or secert number on newer sharps are as follows.
1. Press MENU to display the MENU screen, and then arrow to "SETUP"
2 . Then select on of the options until the password or secert number input screen dislpays.
3. Press and hold both the "Channel Up" and the "Volume Up" buttons simultaneously until message apperas on the screen. Then you can enter new or leave blank number.

If this doesn't work goto sharps web site and download the manual if available.
