Lcd tv has no picture
The inverter pcb inside the tv has probably gone bad. The inverter lights the small fluorescent tubes behind the panel for back light. Take a bright flashlight and hold it close to the front and see if there is any picture. You have to be patient with this method and look real close. If you see the picture it is definately the inverter. Common problem. Thanks

I have a Sharp 32
Hello: Your problem seems to be in or around the tuner of the television, More then likely you have cold solder joints on the turner that needs to be resoldered. Also check the coax end protruding from the back of the set where u connect the cable and make sure it is not loose, a bad ground on this connector to the turner shield will cause this symptom. My professional diagnostic is that when the television is cold the solder connections are making contact with the board, and as heat builds up in the television while watching these connections tend to seperate and make limited contact, causing fuzzy picture and in most cases no picture just snow...
Sharp TV switches to "input 2"
Mine does the exact same thing. I've had it for a few years no, and it just started doing this. It's so annoying. I don't think the weather has anything to do with it, though. It started switching itself just every once in a while, not it is almost every time I turn it on. Sometimes it takes an hour or so to start doing this, other times it's right away. Help!!
Sharp 32c231 volume too low
If you are using a cable box with this set, the problem may be in the box settings.
Try this:
open the settings menu on the box . You may have to select"more settings" or something like that title to find the audio selections.
Under the audio, you will find recording and viewing volume settings. put these to maximum and save.
Your volume should now be more than adequate.

Tv's and electronics in general don't fair well when they are "short cycled", that is, having the power turned on/off quickly in succession.

Watching DVD
Make sure you have a video connection from the back of the DVD player
going to one of the video inputs at the back of the TV. These are
usually marked as "video 1" "video 2" etc. and you'd connect to it
generally with a yellow cable (although it's not important the color
it's just to keep things straight) and then switch your input to the
correct one (video 1 or 2 whichever one you connected to). On the back of the DVD player it'll be labeled either "video out" or " monitor out".
