It all depends on what type of Universal Remote you're using.
Most come with a booklet showing codes for different manufacturers and appliances.
OneForAll are one of the best and have a support page to assist with finding the correct code.
http://www.oneforall.co.uk/en_UK/support
Although yours may not be a OneForAll if you enter their Model No 3940 and follow the steps it will give you some codes you could try in your remote. The codes shown will be 5 Digits but if your remote only needs 3 or 4 then just use the last 3 or 4 digits.
Hello, i have a dvd
The dvd player is not made to play bluray dvds. You need to buy a bluray player. They do not make a bluray vcr combo. Hope this helps.
We own a DVW-7100 DVD
If you've had for awhile and have not cleaned, that could be one possible problem. Suggest purchasing and using a CD/DVD cleaning kit. These are inexpensive.
Another possibility is to check the disc(s) that you are trying to use. Older players will not recognize many of the newer recordable disc formats like DVD +R or DVD -R and DVDRW. This especially includes dual-layer and high definition formats like HD DVD and Blu-Ray.
Please write back, if these do not help.
I unplugged my Sanyo DVW
Hi,
I am not sure if you unplugged all the cables from your VCR to your TV, If so double check the hook up. When you unplugged the POWER to the VCR the memory was lost. Try and find the menu or set up on the remote. Again the audio out from the VCR needs to be hooked to the audio in on the TV and the video out from the VCR needs to be hooked up to the video in on the TV. Keep trying !!!
