No sw. included with camera binocular. Where can I
If this is a vivitar 10x20, you might think twice before installing the software on your computer. I installed the software that came with the binoculars and it screwed up the registry on my computer. i haven't figured out how to fix it. It apparently corrupted a file called ijl15.dll
Why are my pics so blurry?
Because of the magnification any unsteadiness in your hands is multiplied. Try to brace your elbows or put the camera on something steady. About 1/2 second after you click the button is when you hear a little beep. That's the moment you ahve to hold the camera very still.
Also, I wear glasses with a strong correction, I get better pictures when I take them off to focus the binoculars.
When I click on My Camera, It says cannot connect
You will need to "install" the software on your PC. Run the "setup.exe" program from your CD to do this.
You will also need to connect your camera with an USB cable to your PC to transfer pictures to and from PC.

I plug in the camera to the usb port.
Close up all program that may be running on your computer. Click on the start button, scroll up to accessories, then click 'run'. Insert the cd, and click on browse.

The East German Notarems were a little fragile when compared to their West German counterparts. They didn't require too much of a knock to get them out of alignment. To collimate them you need a device called a collimator and its not something you do at home. The Notarem is not an easy unit to take apart. It has a unique locking dioptre ring that is mated with the central focus.
They are definately worth fixing. Not cheap but then again they are not a cheap binocular. You should consult an optical shop in the country where you live. They may know of someone who can fix this. If you are in the UK or don't mind sending the binoculars for repair Kay Optical in the UK has an enviable reputation for repairing old binoculars.

You need a new disc..your files were corrupted on your current one
The usb cable won't fit on camera
the USB will fit..you are installing it incorrectly...you have an arrow on one side of the port side of the cord..and pay attention..
