Olympus Camedia C-3030 Zoom Digital Camera Questions & Answers
Where can I purchace a memory card
The C-3030 uses SmartMedia cards. They're almost extinct, but you should be able to find some at an electronics or office-supply store. The largest capacity is 128MB.
Can not download from Olympus 3030 to MAC BOOK PRO
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.
Cannot transfer images from cameria to computer
Hi!
A simple workaround is to remove the memory card from the camera and insert it in an appropiate card reader connected to your computer. It allows also a higher transfer speed, that's why I allways do so.

I need windows 7 driver
Consider NOT using a driver.

How to install on computer
Hi,
You dont need a software to be able to view the contents of the camera on your computer. Just plug it to the computer using the usb cable and once it has been detected, RIGHT click on your computer's Start button and choose Explore or open windows explorer. From the new window, click on My Computer or Computer from the left pane. Under it, look for he drive associated with your camera and click on it to show the contents on the right. From there, you can now copy the contents of your camera to the local drive of your computer.
Hope this helps. Thank you for using FixYa.

I have Microsoft Windows Xp
I have good news and bad news. The good news is: I can solve your problem! The bad news is: those 17 different types of card do not include yours... almost certainly a SDHC. You need to get a card reader that specifically says that it does SDHC. I've seen USB stick adapter ones for $2.00 in the "dollar store".
I have a C-3030ZOOM. Had a HD failure and
Presumably you downloaded this, extracted files and right clicked inf file and clicked install?
Did you then reboot and try to connect the camera? Connect then switch camera on?
Time & Date Stamp
The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every image. Any photo printing program should have an option for printing the date and time on the picture (or in the margin or even on the back if the printer is two-sided).
I have an Olympus Camedia
Your camera is long discontinued so you basically have two choices. You can look for a used one on ebay or similar (but they'll all be old and potentially faulty) or you can buy a new replacement camera to fit your colposcope.
If, as I suspect, your camera has been using the Olympus CLA-1 lens adaptor which allows accessories to be attached to the front of the camera, then it's likely that all you need is a camera which has a 43mm filter thread. Unfortunately, many digital compact cameras either completely lack a filter thread or use non-standard sizes these days, but if you contact the major camera manufacturers' customer care teams to explain your requirements, they should be able to suggest a suitable model. I've tried searching on your behalf, but online specifications are frustrating as they usually fail to quote the filter thread size.
In the worst instance, you may need to spend more than is strictly necessary for your needs on a digital SLR and then buy a cheap step-down filter ring on eBay or Amazon (filter threads on SLR lenses are usually larger than 43mm).
You didn't mention the make and model of your colposcope, but it may also be worth contacting the device manufacturer as they may be able to suggest suitable current cameras and perhaps more importantly, which ones may be incompatible with your colposcope.
