WELL FIRST YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE YOUR KEYBOARD AS U CANT FIX THAT :/ BUT I WOULD SUGGEST STARTING YOUR PC AND AS IT GOES FROM THE PICTURE OF THE e LOADED FROM THE BIOS AND AS IT GOES TO A BLACK SCREEN REPEATIDLY PRESS F11 AND IT SHOULD GO INTO RECOVERY AND THEN JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THERE :) GOOD LUCK .

It is important to know the difference between aSYSTEM RESTORE or SYSTEM RECOVERY . Restoring your system to a previous date when the computer worked fine may do the trick and to do this click start, click help and support and under Pick a Task, click Undo changes to your computer with System Restore, Follow the instructions on the wizard.

A more radical remedy may be required when your hard drive will not boot up, or when you can't get the computer to navigate through the windows you need for a restore point reset. This radical resetting of the computer is called a system recovery (not a system restore) This will put your computer back to factory settings but you will lose any files you had like pictures, music and word documents.

If the operating system becomes corrupt, or if the computer is hit with a virus, the best solution is often to restore the computer and reload your applications.

Use another PC and Search for "Administrator password reset" to download a reset tool. You'll have to write this to a bootable CD. My favourite such tool is a utility call AnyPassKey.

Restoring a computer to its original factory settings should be the last ditch effort in attempting to save a system that has been corrupted by viruses or defective programs. In the best case scenario, one would use the system restore CD that ships with new computers but often this CD is lost or the computer was purchased used. In this case, a factory settings restoration can still be performed by using the computer's "Advanced Boot" menu.
Restart the computer. Press the "F8" key after the computer reboots but before the "Windows" logo appears on the screen. You should now see the "Advanced Boot" menu. Scroll down through the menu options using the down arrow key. Stop when "Repair Your Computer" is highlighted and hit the "Enter" key. Select the language you wish to use and press the "Enter" key. Type in the computer's administrator ID and password. Press the "Enter" key. Scroll through the options using the down arrow key. Choose "Restore (name of computer manufacturer) Settings." Press the "Enter" key. Choose "Yes" when asked if you want to reformat the hard drive. Press the "Enter" key to begin the reformatting process. The process takes a few minutes, so be patient. Do not turn off the computer or attempt to stop the process after it has begun, or this may result in major damage to the hard drive. Choose "Finish" and press the "Enter" key to restart the computer. The computer will restart with the original factory settings.

Test your PSU power supply unit or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty



One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle of restarting or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive



Test all leads that attach to your hard drive power and data cables IDE SATA

the leads from your MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty


make sure all leads that are attached to your dvd\cd floppy drives have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty


computers need power and data to travel through every working device to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error


even something as small as a faulty electrical or fan lead can cause you problems



motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail



check all electrical power input and extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working



also check the Cmos battery and computer RAM modules make sure they are securely seated with no dust built up or in the sockets on some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in


check you CPU central processing unit make sure its securely seated and has thermal paste it might be getting to hot the thermal paste will help disperse the heat

Thermal compound is a sticky paste that is placed directly onto the CPU.


Allowing for a more direct heat transfer between the CPU and HEAT SINK and preventing air gaps from forming between the CPU and heat sink.

Acabo de recibir el mismo mensaje de error en mitad de una restauracion de pc. La solucion en mi caso:
1) Desonectar el cable de alimentacion y encender el pc para que se descargue de toda corriente, volver a conectar la alimentacion.
2) Limpiar el CD de restauracion (con el CD sucio no lee y da error) e introducirlo en la bandeja CD/DVD
3) Encender el pc y enseguida oprimir F12 para que arranque con CD/DVD
4) Esperar que eso lo solucione

Turn Off the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10 key,ie: Alt+F10, it will open the recovery console ,select full factory restore and follow on screen instruction. (Note:this will erase all datas on the computer) Hope this helps you

Try calling emachines support number 866-586-2237, they might provide you the cd..else you have to arrange a cd in order to fix the computer..because this problem only comes when windows on the system gets corrupted.

Clean the junk files from the computer try the ccleaner software..also do a virus scan from the software Htman pro...changed the virtual memory if possible..if you like please rate..thanks in advance

If you are running windows XP or older reboot the computer and tap the "F8" key until a boot menu appears, select safe mode then you can log in as administrator with out a password and reset your password under the user accounts under the control panel like normal. If you are running windows vista or 7 you will need to download stealth XPE or an other such 3rd party linux based password recovery software.

In order to completely reset all personal information, the only failsafe way is to wipe the hard drive (and even this is not failsafe).
Look at this program. This program will allow you to make a bootable disk (eg USB). After you create the disk, reboot your computer and press the Boot Order key (on a Dell D620, its F12). Select USB. The Kill Disk program will load, allowing you to completely wipe your hard drive (eg. by overwriting everything with 0's). This will probably take a while, depending on the size of your hard drive.

Press F11 after you turn the computer on and before windows begins to load. If you have a working recovery partition it should present you with the recovery options. Follow on screen instructions.
