walmart, universal remotes from $7.00 and up, the problem should be that channels up to 3 were blocked and you need to re program channel search on menu, cable or antenna option and then, locate channels with signal, if you watch tv from cable, the channels search only detected the channel 3 as a channel with signal, if the tv is not hdefinition, you wont need more channels, if it is hd, there is an option for dvd, antena (hd signal of course) and hdm or whatever signals capability, I hope I helped you, othewise, contact me and I will be more than happy to help, God bless

You can buy an universal remote at your local supermarket and you will be able to control and program the remaining channels. It will still be cheaper than getting a new TV.

If your Philips TV is locked, just try this.

Philips sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for Philips sets is 0711, although it may say "Incorrect code" the first time to trick you. If "Incorrect code" is displayed, simply enter 0711 again. To use it hit the MENU key to get to the menus. Go up or down until you reach AUTOLOCK or SMARTLOCK, depending on the model, and push the "right arrow" key on the remote. Enter the override code, and enter it a second time if it says it is incorrect.

Once in the AUTOLOCK or SMARTLOCK menu, go to BLOCK, and push the "right arrow" key. Go to BLOCKING OPTIONS and press the "right arrow" key. Go to MASTER DISABLE and press the "right arrow" key so that it says "MASTER DISABLE ON". The v-chip is now reset.

Same thing here!!!!! It is soooooo annoying! Can't do it from the TV and the CC does not turn it off either.

Try a different cable, maybe a different television. If it's a wall box open it up and see if the cable inside fell off the connector. That happens sometimes. If you can, check the entire cable, and/or the other end of the line wherever it goes. If that doesn't work you'll probably need to call the cable company and have them fix it.

If the screen says "Front" on it, then you need to change the input. The "Front" input is for connections made to the front (video game, camcorder, etc).

Picture tubes rarely go bad. You have a bad connection or something on the circuit board that is breaking down due to the temperature change . Probably an easy fix. Not something an unqualified person can do though. Your local shop should fix this for about $60-100.
