The problem is in your cable connection on the back of your monitor or Box. I had the same problem and solved it by reattaching the VGA cable that was loose.

If you are using a Cable Box, then select the Cable Box option in the TV. If you have connected the Antenna directly to the TV, then select the Antenna option in the TV under Menu options. Try performing the Auto program.......If using a Cable Box, then no need to perform the Auto program. If the issue persists, try resetting the TV to the factory settings and check if it helps.

yes, Sony has a very good quality. Sony has been in market over the years and they are known to produce quality products.

Also, electronics in generally are not to be trusted. It can develop fault at any given point in time. This might be as a result of irregular power supply or factory error.

But Sony is good electronic product. One also has to be careful, so that the fake one won't be bought.

This could be a problem with the leads connecting the box to the tv. try using different leads and see if that cures it

I think you mean ' switch ' and ' only the red light ' ( power ) comes on.
It could be an internal trip on your tv set that needs looking at by a tv engineer ( normally parts required ) or if you have a tv with a ' factory settings button ' on it ( normally on the side or top if it's a flat screen tv ) press and hold for 10 seconds then the intial ' tv setup ' will appear on the screen ; after that, just follow the guide.

I had the Same issue. on a 50PF9431D/37 set. Many Plasma Set's use a LJ44-00118A PS-505-PH Power supply from Samsung. Known to have this common problem. If you can, or have a friend that can Solder components?. Unplug your set remove the back panel & locate your power supply. Is a Link to a photo of the PCB. Make a note of the locations of all cable connections then unplug them all. Un-install PCB, Check all Fuse first. I believe their is 5 or 6 of them on the PCB. Then replace the two 3300uf 10v 105C Radial capacitors at C8060 & C8059. Look to see if the Caps are deformed and or split at the top. The location of the caps are in the Lower bottom edge of the PCB. A local shop may Carrie them if not, digi-key has them. Same issue here in NZ with a set.  Fixed (twice) before.  Same problem for the thirs time in 4 years. Solution  - get a Sony.
