Fuji FinePix F10 Digital Camera - Page 5 Questions & Answers
'Card not Initialized'
I just had the same issue with my Fuji F10 Finepix camera and of course all you can get the camera to do is tell you 'card not initialized'...and nothing else works! I resolved it by attaching the camera to the MAC, accessing the camera files thru the MAC by going to the icon that pops up on the desktop for the camera, deleting the files in the camera Fuji directory, then detached the camera and it was all back to normal. I assume that could have also been done the same way on a PC via USB port, accessing the camera via 'My Computer'. I believe the root cause was: I had accessed the photos on the camera via the MAC and iPhoto, then after transferring the photos to the MAC, deleted the photos thru the iPhoto delete option. This in fact did not delete the photos on the camera, somehow causing this 'card not initialized' condition. CW
My PC wont recognise the F11 is connected.
One suggestion is to update your camera firmware it may solve your problem.
below is the report from the web:
Firmware Update for FinePix
F10 - Windows
Purpose of File:
This Firmware (Ver.1.02) update will revise the internal software of the FinePix F10 digital camera. Installation of this update is optional. It incorporates the following nhancements:
1) Correction of English displayed on the LCD monitor
2) Updates the compatibility of the PictBridge function with some printers
3) Correction of an error that would not allow some computers to start up if the camera was connected and turned on.

Lens cover issue
Check the Fuji Web site - but I fear it will be new camera time when you see the repair price
Date and Time always needs re-setting
There is a small button battery that maintain the 'clock' like all watch batteries they do go down.
A replacement will mean taking the camera part and is not a very good idea - live with it or bin it
White screen
Set camera to playback and see if you get normal quality pictures. If not the CCD sensor is faulty ( or of course the LCD screen may be faulty ) and camera will be replaced since it is new.
Playback is distorted
This is either an internal connecter loose or a failing CCD
Either way not fixable by the user.
Contact Fuji customer support
Finepix f11 black lcd
This indicates the back light has blown.
The whole screen will need replacement- if the part is available -of that I cannot advise you,
The repair costs in a work shop will outstrip the value of the camera, that is alomost certain
What is wwrong and can I fix it?
Nothing there for you to repair
This may be a ccd or processor issue so it is worth contacting Fuji technical help team, where perhaps replacements are on offer - you can only ask after all.
Otherwise it is a repair or replacement situation.
Regarding LCD
If the LCD is still operational, then a self repair with self adhesive clear tape will do the trick.
Some photoshops the UK sell a self adhesive film to put over screens as a protector[how about India anything like like over there?- what about mail order from the U.K. ?
Try www,jessops.com -for the film that is
As for a proper repair - then it will have be a full replacement only your local repair shop will be able to advise you of a price.
Finepix f10 problem
Plug came off the wall?
What do you mean by this, the plug to what exactly the charger?
How is the charger camera battery set up?
Where is the red light on the charger?
More detail please
IS or AS on the S9000
Fuji does not have either, only an AntiBlur mode that favors high shutter speeds to combat both camera shake and action blur. Fuji may be betting that their high ISO capabilities allowing higher usable shutter speeds will make IS or AS an unnecessary feature.
In a few weeks when the cameras hit the shelves we will know better how this really pans out.
S5200 Focus range
I assume you're taking the mickey out of Fuji here. But just in case you're not it is obviously meant to describe the AF assist lamps range in low light conditions.
Focus error finepix hs10
About the HS10 autofocus problem, I discovered the cause and solution. It is a problem of camera design, and is caused by three screws securing the CCD sensor. These screws are not properly secured and the vibration eventually dropping.
In two cameras with the same defect, the screws were loose. These screws adjust the sensor position relative to the lens and the sensor is loose when out of position not allowing proper focus.
The solution is to disassemble the camera and secure the screws.
These screws can not be too tight they need to be adjusted to position the CCD sensor correctly. The camera is difficult to dismantle because several wires are soldered.
Care must be taken to discharge the capacitor of the flash, this may cause an electric shock and burn the camera board.
Those who want to try the repair, follow the link to the service manual.

I have a FinePix S1 and the display screen is not working. All other modes are working but no display
Many occasions LCD on camera display never fails but back light fails unless physical damage to LCD screen. Hold a torch to display when camera is on you will see faint(black and white) image means LCD is ok but back light is failed, it's replaceable but needs little skill to replace. Or replace full Screen with backlight. This is easy. Just remove back cover, remove display by loosening flex lock, put back new display carefully lock it holding flex with one finger. Please do not touch display flex contacts.
