Sony CDP-C910 will no longer play cds or eject changer cartridge

Mine did the same thing. My player was primarily used in the garage and the cold weather may have caused my player to do the same thing. I just fixed my player. I removed the top cover and looked at the CD in the play position. In the upper right corner from the CD, you will see a spindle motor with a belt on it. Gently spin the motor back and forth carefully with your finger. I rotated it a half-spin in either direction, careful not to dislodge the belt. When I turned the player back on, the mechanism operated as it normally would and began playing the disc. I was able to eject and reinsert the magazine without any issues, solving the problem. Hopefully that will work for you.

The sony model #CDP-c910

Try changing the (only) belt the player has with a brand new one. Go to www.partstore.com. I believe it costs more than $10. Clean the pulleys with isoprophyll alcohol using a cotton swab after removing the old belt. After you remove the top cover, take a careful look how the belt is placed. Don't unscrew anything. The belt can be removed and replaced without removing any screw. A paper clip will help if you don't have the right belt removal & replacement tool. A commercial CD lens cleaner (I use Scotch brand) will greatly help. Just insert it in your magazine and run for a few seconds to a minute. This is not a sure fire solution but most of the problems in this model is attributed to an loose/overstretched old belt and a dirty laser lens. I hope this helps & good luck!

The cd player on my kenwood ud302 is jammed shut

Barbara,

All CD and DVD players have a small hole in the front of the tray. This is for situation like you are in. Insert a paper pin into it and press a little when you encounter resistance. The tray will unlock and open.

Disc draw does not close fully. The draw closes

Hi:
This is ususally a indication that the unit is either out of timing, or like you suspect a worn drive belt, most modern DVD players use gears, but it could very well be belt driven, seems the clamper is closed when the tray trys to go in.

I have a Sony Mini

It is not possible to cheaply fix the problem, that is for sure. It is mechanical failure on the part of the mechanism. Have you tried unplugging it for a good 10 minutes, then replugging it in? As soon as you plug it back in immediately try to eject the cds. If this does not do it you will be forced to basically break open the cd player to get them out :(.

I'm so sorry about the bad news there, hopefully a "reboot" will at least let you eject them out of there

Will not eject

Have you tried using the remote control if the button on the front of the unit won't work, and vice-versa? Try playing each disc, then go to the next so that you know all are loaded back in, then try again.

I have a denon 3500 cd player my cd is stuck

Open the top cover of your CD using a screw driver, (usually a star screw driver),. Then, manually turn the driving gear of the CD tray to free the stucked tray and until to the point where you can take the disc from the tray. Be careful so the setting of the tray and the laser eye is not change. Then, close the close the cover and play. You can send your e-mail thru fix ya to let me know.

Motor runs continuously

hi there try to disconnect the power as it is doing this wait 10 seconds then hopefully the unit has reset itself as it might be a control board glitch. Have you recently installed in a new car if so check that you have the correct connection as if the pin outs are incorrect can also cause this problem.

Thanks J
