If you can't find one, it won't be of any consequence, the electrician will buy you a replacement.
Why not repair the power supply in your set?
At first it was lots
Hello
You have stated that your TV has a lot of horizontal lines before it went off picture. We say that lines as retrace lines. So many of them will there on the entire screen, at about one inch or so apart, horizontaly scattered along with picuture. At that time, you may be unable to down the brightness control also. Even though you have reduced the brightness control to zero position, there will be some brightness level on the screen. You should have to repair that fault at the begining. There is a voltage going to the picture tube base, known as screen voltage. That voltage determine the emission of the picture tube, and we call it a bias voltage. When it goes higher than normal, this trouble ie retrace lines will occur. In long run it may spoil the picture tube itself. I don't know what the case of yours.
Anyway it is best for you to consult an experience technician in this case. Ok.
Is there a fuse that blows
G'Day,
Yes,there is a fuse that can blow.
The fuse is located on the G board, the power supply, and is marked F601. it is rated 6.3 amp 125 volt. The Sony part number for this is 1-576-193-11. If you find it to be blown, take the old fuse with you to any electronics hobbyist store and they will be able to assist you with the correct type.
What are your symptoms that lead you to believe the fuse has blown. Do you have any lights up at all?
Be sure to disconnect from the Mains power at the wall socker before you do anything. This set has voltages internally that can kill you.

Screen blinks
Your picture tube is just about to go. This is a common problem with older Sony's. You will eventually see it go out and not come back. You may want to start looking for a new set. Thanks
Recently the picture my Sony flat screen TV has
The set is probably magnetized and needs degaussing (demagnetizing).
All CRT type TV's have an internal demagnetizing circuit that is engaged when the set is first turned on after being off for the day.
If this circuit is working then you sometimes hear a "bonk" sound (about 1/2 a second long) when the set is first turned on. If this circuit isn't working the set will become magnetized over time and will have to be degaussed using a degauss coil available at a TV repair shop (cost aprox. $35.00) and you should have the circuit checked at the same time. A set will also become magnetized if a large speaker (magnet) or motor is close to the TV. Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!
Kvg21q1 no picture no sound and led not standby power on........
Hi,
That's correct. As you have no picture and no sound, you need to replace flyback and power transistor.
What i would advise you that you can purchase the flyback and Horizontal output resistor online and you can also fix it yourself. That would help you save certain bucks.
Any further help, let me know.
Thanks for using Fixya.

OMG! Hope you found the solutions by now? ! Wouldn't be the SAP control would it? Have you tried to reformat the TV with original set-up format? Best of luck, arb711.

PIP
Easiest solution is to select chanel for your main viewing, then, no matter what the secondary chanel is, SWAP. Now you can select the chanel you want for the 'alternate' and swap away! Take note, the sound is also swappable (sic); you can watch one chanel while listening to the other. What you are viewing can be followed too with closed captioning. Neat trick for sports fans!!

Picture within a picture on screen
Click here to find info the user's guide and how to turn close caption OFF. Download all the files and and you should find the info on page #19 but you will need to have the TV remote control or if your TV has a menu/set up button on the front panel, you can try to get to close caption using the channel up/down and volume up/down.
Good Luck.

Screen keeps flashing on and off
If the sound goes off too then there are bad solder connections, if it just the picture then the picture tube is getting weak, some times a picture tube rejuvinator can bring some life back for a while.
