Hello My name si Christopher

Christopher, your microphone is a dynamic type with XLR connector. This means that you can connect this microphone at your pc (at the mic in connector, the red one) using a cable with XLR female connector at one end and 3.5mm jack male connector at the other end (like this). Keep in mind that the 3.5mm male connector has to be a mono type, a stereo one will not work. In case you have the connectors and a suitable cable you can connect as follows:
technical114_16.jpg
YOU MUST CONNECT BOTH 1 & 3 pins from XLR side at the ground point of the jack.

The whole setup won;t give the best sound quality, but it's the simplest and cheapest way to use your mic and the pc. In case you need better quality, clarify me what you are trying to do order to give you some suggestions.

In case of a problem or clarification or further details needed, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.
If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

I have dropped the mic onto a hard floor and now

Depending on the type of element; dynamic or condenser, you won't likely be able to repair this yourself. Both are delicate and use very small dimensions. The condenser type are most likely to survive a drop but the dynamic type is easier to damage and if it is an E815S, it's dynamic.

It won't work on my

There is no technical reason why the Sennheiser shouldn't work with a computer.
Here are some general instructions re using mics with a computer

Using a microphone with computer

To use any microphone with your computer you will need to enable it in control panel. The following instructions are for Windows XP but are broadly similar for Vista and Win7

Click START, CONTROL PANEL, SOUNDS & AUDIO DEVICES

Click VOICE

In Sounds & Audio Devices Properties window locate SOUND PLAYBACK box. Click the VOLUME button. Make sure that there is not a check-mark in the MUTE box against microphone in the list of devices and that the volume slider is at the top of the scale.

Make sure the MUTE ALL box isn't checked before closing the window.

Now click the VOLUME button in the SOUND RECORDING BOX. Here SELECT microphone as an input source for recording (as opposed to un-checking mute in the playback controls).

NOTE if your microphone is not listed in the 2 sets of volume controls click OPTIONS, PROPERTIES on the tool-bar and place a check against microphone in the list entitled 'show the following volume controls' and then click OK.

That should be it.

To adjust audio volume generally.

Under VOLUME tab adjust Device Volume as necessary. Also (under Loudpeaker Settings) click Speaker Volume and adjust slider to suit.

You might put a check mark in the box to show the volume control on the Task Bar so you can go straight to it to make adjustments in the future.

If you still don't get enough volume then you may need a pre-amplifier to boost the signal

Sennheiser RS 175 TV headset has green lit power light blinks on and off. And headset doesnt have any volume. Help!

If your Sennheiser RS 175 TV headset has a green lit power light that blinks on and off and doesn't have any volume, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the batteries: Ensure that the batteries are charged and inserted correctly into the headset. You may also want to try replacing the batteries with fresh ones.
  2. Check the audio source: Make sure that the audio source is turned on and the volume is turned up. You may also want to try connecting the headset to a different audio source to see if the problem is with the source.
  3. Check the audio cable: If you are using an audio cable to connect the headset to the audio source, make sure that it is plugged in securely at both ends.
  4. Reset the headset: Try resetting the headset by turning it off, unplugging the transmitter from the power source, waiting for a few minutes, and then plugging the transmitter back in and turning the headset on again.
  5. Check for interference: Make sure that the transmitter and headset are not too far apart or obstructed by walls or other objects. Also, ensure that there are no other devices nearby that may be causing interference.
If none of these troubleshooting steps work, you may need to contact Sennheiser customer support or take the headset in for repair.

Hi Edgar, it is important that the receiver works, because there is a dialogue between the transmitter and the receiver to confirm that they are on the same frequency, that is why the transmitter is blinking, you should repair the receiver and look for the frequency or channel that the transmitter is found and it will stop flashing Hola Edgar, es importante que el receptor funcione, porque hay un dialogo entre el transmisor y el receptor para confirmar que est?n en la misma frecuencia, por eso es que el transmisor esta titilando, deber?as reparar el receptor y as? buscar la frecuencia o canal que se encuentra el transmisor y este dejara de titilar
