I attempted a repair
Yes those resistors are open. If you remove 1 leg of each of those resistors out of circuit then test them you will find that they are open, replacing those with the same rated flameproof resistors should solve your problem. You can contact me at
[email protected] and I will send you some Ebooks that will give you some basic instruction on electronic repair. I have a wealth of information and I dont mind sending you whatever can help you learn electronics. Its a fascinating field.

Panasonic PT-53TW53G
Mikey,
There are any number of possible failures that can cause the symptoms you're describing. For example, C509 a .47uf/250v mylar cap has been known to fail in those units causing the wavy lines. On the other hand convergence amp failures can do the same thing. That unit uses two STK392-110 Sanyo amps at pos# Ic7001,Ic7002 Panasonic p/n# C5aa00000203 and more in that circuit needs to be tested and signal traced to isolate all of the problem if the amps are the culprit. In short, I don't think this is one you want to tackle with less than a 20 mhz scope and some serious background in electronics.

Panasonic tv pricing
From what I have seen, if the set is in good working condition it should go for about $100 to $150 maximum. If anything goes wrong with it where original parts are required it may not be serviceable. It is no longer supported. Considering its age its reliability is considered very low.

Where can we get the best IC Replacement
always stick with the manufacturers brand ! but you will need to check the resistors on the IC lines to make sure thier values are not off , because that will cause the IC to go again no matter what brand IC you use. other components in line of the IC should also be checked for bad values as they can also cause malfunction and breakdown of an IC and its circuit components

I have a 53 in rear pro, Panasonic T.V.
If that has worked for you before, but does not work now it tells me that you at least know how it is supposed to work. If it seems the adjustments just don't respond, or not have enough range, it tells me the convergence amplifiers have failed. They are located on a circuit board and are screwed to a large finned heatsink also attached to the board. They should bear a number such as STK392-110. That numbered part is replaced by an improved type STK392-150 or STK392-180. When that part dies it will also usually burn out a resistor. Typically a 1.0 - 2.5 ohm 1-watt flameproof in the convergence yoke return path. The resistor must be the same value as the original or the convergence will not respond correctly.

LIGHT BLINKS 5 TIMES
I bought the shcematics for this set and they indicate that if the light blinks 5 times there is a problem with IC4016. I don't know which board that is on as the schematics were unfortunately incomplete.

Tv went red and now power will not stay on
If one color goes out of control, the TV will auto turn off for safety reasons. Sounds like a red bias resistor has burned out. A tech will be needed to trace this problem. Sometimes there is a knob behind the front TV speaker panel for adjusting the color bias levels. You could try to mess with it if you are able to find it. I would just get a tech. Could be a cheap repair.
