picture in the middle of screen is smaller than the the the right and left side of the screen how do you ajust this problem ?
i have a 52" rca projection , and the screen looks like this ") (" on the sides can i do something to straiten it back out?

My TV is 18 months old and recently when turned on there is a silver dollar size green spot towards the middle of the right side of the screen. The green spot goes from soft to bright to not visible at all. The is continuous was the tv is turned on.
Easy fix. I had the same green dot problem and I removed the front panel (no screws). In the center is a panel that has two screws. Remove them and pull the cover off. There you will find the projection bulb. Do not clean the bulb but instead the base. Use a damp cloth to wipe the dust off the black disk (the base of the projection bulb housing). Apparently the dust through static electricity may cause enough magnetism to distort your picture. Hope this helps.

My picture went out all of a sudden and the audio is fine but video just has three wavy colors down the center of the screen. Any ideas what's wrong? If fixable, can I do it myself.

There are any number of possible failures that can cause the symptoms you're describing. For example, C509 a .47uf/250v mylar cap has been known to fail in those units causing the wavy lines. On the other hand convergence amp failures can do the same thing. That unit uses two STK392-110 Sanyo amps at pos# Ic7001,Ic7002 Panasonic p/n# C5aa00000203 and more in that circuit needs to be tested and signal traced to isolate all of the problem if the amps are the culprit. In short, I don't think this is one you want to tackle with less than a 20 mhz scope and some serious background in electronics.

Panasonic PT-53TW53G manufactured 03/04; When turn power button on TV clicks on (with no sound,no picture) then clicks off after 3-5 seconds. Then the red power button blinks 3 times followed by a 5-7 second gap and then blinks 3 times again. It does this continuously until unplugged.
STOP THE PRESS!! I FIXED MY TV for a whopping $26.
I took a wild shot and purchased two STK392-110 convergence amplifiers from http://www.electronix.com/. They ship fast, placed my order on Tuesday evening after coming here and placing my comment. To my suprise the parts were in my mailbox on Friday. The parts were actually $12 but I also picked up a iron and a solder sucker.
So rarewish4us, If you're in the South Florida area I'd be more than happy to take that "JUNK" off your hands. LOL
If I were you, I'd give it a shot before you junk it.

The TV went off. When we tried to turn it back on, the power comes on but no picture and it clicks. The lamp light is not on.
I need help!!!!!! I got up and pushed the on button and the TV would not come on and the red led flashed 3 times and stops and then repeats the steps. What could the problem be? I heard that it could be the ic`s in front of the heat sinks so I took out the board but nothing appears to be burnt. But some one said this is a common failure. I also checked the surrounding resistors .and everything appears to be ok there is no discolor on the board except around some diodes and they seam to check out ok. What do you think the problem is?
3 blinks is an error code for the convergence ICs being bad. You will have to replace both the convergence ICs they should be STK392-110 for your model. You can get new replacement ICs at the following link with free instalation instructions with pics so you can do the repair yourself. Heres the link.

When I turn my Tv on my power comes on for two, three seconds and then it
cuts off. The power light blinks 3 times and pauses then blinks 3 times does this until i unplug the tv.

My Panasonic PT-53TW53G will not stay powered on. When i press the power button the tv tries to turn on but it will make a clicking sound then power off. The front panel red light blinks 1 time so im guessing its something to do with the 120v. What do i need to replace? where can i buy the parts? please can someone explain what could be the problem? Thanks
just got back today for same problem. convergence went out. took to repair shop. $200 part plus $60 labor. second time in a year convergence went out. was told it will happen again.

I have a Panasonic PT-52LCX16 DLP TV. I have had it less than two years and all of a sudden everything has a blue and yellow color. All the reds are brown or yellow. Does anyone know what the issue is? Thanks.
