My tv fuse gets fused
Get it to a service because you have a short-circuit. It will burn every new fuse.

Every thing looks pink
The blue and green guns have either failed or reduced their output significantly. This can be repaired but if you brought it to my store I would suggest dumping it and replacing with a LCD or Plasma set. I think you'll be much happier in the long run. If this TV has sentimental value or you can't afford to buy a new set, most reputable repair people would do the job for minimal cost. I know I would.

Tobiah no pit
Your TV set seems to have either a bad connector contact or some solder contacts gone loose. Check the connectors for any oxydized contacts and clean these. Also check for any bad (loosened) solder points (so-called "cold connections") and resolder them.
Hope this helps somewhat, if not, there might be burnt out components, but they usually don't come to life if you hit the TV, which suggests bad contacts.

Safely disassembling a tv
The tube is the most dangerous part. It contains a vacuum and also a very large charge. The easiest way to make it safe is to unplug the end by removing the pc board attached to the back. Once removed, you will notice a large round plastic "pin" that is keyed. With a pair of pliers, squeeze the end of that part. This will break the end of the tube and allow air to enter. Do this carefully and only break the very end of this glass part (indide the plastic). You will hear the air enter the tube. This will effectively remove the charge at the same time.

Tubes
NO! it would have to be by the same manufacture also the specifications and ratings would have to be the same , as some differ from different models
sometimes different sizes can but it will just look funny and will just end up hurting the board

TV Capacitors
Get a 10K resistor, use an alligator clip to connect one side of the
resistor to the ground of the TV (note, if you are working in the
primary circuit of a switching power supply, do not use chassis ground,
instead connect the alligator clip to the negitive side of the
capacitor).
Use a good pair of insolated pliers to hold the body of the resistor
and touch the free end of the resistor to the positive side of the
capacitor.
Because of the 10K resistor it may take a minute to fully discharge. Heep holding it for at least a minute.
If you have a Voltage meter you can use it to verify the discharged
state of the capacitor. (note you can get a multimeter for as little as
$10 if you look around).

Stuck vhs tape
When a tape won't eject, the problem can be caused by several things.
The most common problem is that the belt that operates the eject mechanism is slipping and not allowing it to eject the tape.
This can be fixed by either using a re-grip solution on the belt or having the belt replaced. With the cover off (be careful not to touch anything live with power) and try loading and unloading a tape.
Try to find the motor and belt which operates the loading mechanism. Try moving the belt pulley with your finger to give it a little help and see if it continues on with the operation. If it does, the belt is probably slipping. It takes more effort on the belt & pulley during an eject sequence rather than the a load sequence, so it may load fine but have trouble ejecting.
Gravity and the weight of the tape is why you may not have this problem during the load sequence. You will need to take the cover off. Try to find the motor and belt which operates the loading mechanism. Try moving the belt pulley with your finger to give it a little help and see if it continues on with the operation. If it does, the belt is probably slipping.
Hopefully, you won't find any spilled tape in the unit.
Also look for a broken spring or cracked gear or gear with missing teeth.
Let me know what you find out and we'll go from there.
Good Luck, Jim

How to discharge the TV tube?
First off there is no capacitor that holds the High voltage on the tube. Its the tube itself that stores the charge and if you dont discharge a tube properly it will bite you!!You can disconnect the 2nd anode of the tube(thats what the cup is called)that puppy can hold a charge for months as I've picked up used tubes that other service men may have striped out of a junk sets and still got zapped weeks later and it can burn a hole right in you if it bites you the right way. That metal strap is the ground for the crt(the picture tube) The proper way to saftly discharge a crt would be to take a screwdriver perferably a flat tip and connect a cliplead to the screw driver and clip the other end to the ground strap. Carefully slide the screwdriver up UNDER the cup on the crt till you reach the middle of the tube as you will feel it as it wont go any farther. In the meantime you might hear a pop sound and that would be the dischargeing of the tube.. Keep that screwdriver in place a min. of 30 to 40 secs. then remove . Then pinch the cup the oppisite direction on both sides that the wire is running as the cup is held in place by a small hooks on both sides Be carefull not to rip off the cup or bend the small hole suround that the cup is attached. And never ever poke a hole in the cup as I've seen peeps do and when you turn back on a set you will have fireworks as the high voltage will arch out all over the place and if your hand or face is close to it it will get you too!! Now take the clip lead and attach to the grounding strap and clip the other end to where you just took off the cup and your all set.Good Luck with your repair

Red color
No easy fix for a TV. If still under warranty or if you have no electronic repair experience you should take the set back to the shop or to a repair person. TV's are very hazardous to service. Even when plugged out, TV's can store very high voltages.
As long as there's no burning smell, and the set is okay even when hot, after running for awhile, it's possibly bad connections on the convergence board. If you have some decent soldering skills and a familiarity with the insides of a TV, you may even save yourself a repair bill by getting some bad solder connections cleaned up.
If its not the connections it could be the STK chips, or the board itself.
It might also be caused by having the set placed close to another electrical device that causes a magnetic field that overtime messes with the colors on your tv. Its more noticeable sometimes after you take the device away, because the TV learnt to compensate for the effects of that field. If separating the TV from all other devices for a few days(while letting it work from time to time) doesn't affect the red tinge, you could try to degauss it manually. Some shops sell a degaussing wand that you wave around the TV to fix such problems. You can also build one yourself - tape a small samarium cobalt magnet (much stronger than your average magnet) to a pencil, then spin the pencil with your fingers while moving past the monitor. Note that if not done properly this can make things worse.
Take care
