The Ho2 came up -
Hello
I thinks that you haven't the user manual of your device with you. If so, either send me your email address by Fixya, or mail me at
[email protected]. i'll send it to you by return mail. It is an Adobe Acrobar Reader document [ printable version]., and you must have installed adobe reader in your system to read it properly. OK.

Error message H03 appears when the player is
PLEASE REMEMBER TO RATE/AWARD MY RESPONSE SO THAT I MAY KEEP HELPING THOSE IN NEED FREE. fixing code H03
is very simple but needs some courrage and small philips screw driver.
the problem arrise from the laser lamb which moves up and down the disk through a mechanical shaft
I do believe when we press the back space for long time it will take the laser lamb beyond its limit and get stuck at the end of the rotating shaft so the servo motor gets difficulty and resistance to get it back to tract
all you have to do is open the back of the 12 small screws" (THE AMOUNT OF SCREWS MAY DIFFER FROM A CASE BY CASE when you remove the back cover be carful not to damage the cables you will find the servo motor and laser lamb on one metal structure hanged to the body by three rubber suspensions remove the whole structre and turn it upside down slowly
move the small black rotating joints up or down you will notice the the mechanical shaft will start rotating and the laser lamb will start to move away from the servo motor relasing it from where it get stuck and it will work perfect after that
return the back cover and screw the 12 screws (AMOUNT OF SCREWS MAY DIFFER) and you are done

H02
The HO2 message means the disc is not spinning,it's not about the lens
or the laser. It is easy to take the lid off.Once you do that, plug it in,open the tray with the remote, put in a DVD,close the tray and then give the white plastic wheel on the top a gentle little nudge to get the disc spinning.

Portable dvd player h03 what to do fix it?
this error code means that there is something wrong with the laser lens most portable dvd players over time get weak motors or lenses you may try to take a small cloth or cotton ball and move the lens back and forth from the spindle to the end then place it as close to the spindle as you can then turn it on and you might be good to go! if not then you have a bad motor and may have to replace it! hope this helps!

CODE: HO2
i think the problem is an accumulation of dust. try cleaning it out with a can of compressed air, or if you dont have that, by blowing on the lens gently.

Panasonic portable dvd player - error code HO3
Hi,
On most Panasonic, error code HO3 indicates a mechanical problem, more specifically, the cradle that supports the laser eye could not traverse along its path. Corrective action requires opening the unit, cleaning the slider bar, plastic cogs, worm gear/drive. It may help to use a can of compressed air and re-lubricate appropriate parts. Since the unit is open and expectantly dust would be swirling after the use of the compressed air, it may be to your advantage to swab/clean the lens itself prior to closing.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Error code on Panasonic LS50 portable DVD player
I purchased my LS50 over 16 months ago. I had a H03 error before and it went away after sitting on the shelf for three days. It worked ok for another couple of months and then stopped again. The screen says reading but the motor is not spinning. i pointed out that the laser lens is in the wrong place. When at resting location, the lens should be parked near to the spindle in the middle. The mechanism to move the lens backward and forward sometime get stuck at the end of its travel - furthest away from the spindle. If your player is out of warranty, then you maybe able to try this. Open up the bottom cover by taking out the screws - 10 or so. This will reveal the lens and motor module. Flip over the model and you should see the gear and shaft for the lens. Move the gear so that the lens move towards the centre. Click the covers back into place , reconnect the battery and try. If it works, put all the screws back. Mine was fixed this way but this is not a gaurantee that this will work on yours. Good luck.
Forgot to mention. You can also clean the gear shaft in case there are small particules stuck to the grease and affect the movement. After cleaning, apply a tiny bit of grease just to lubricate the moving shaft. Not too much. I am glad that the instructions help.

Panasonic Portable DVD Player LS50
Can you see or hear that the disk is spinning up normally as it did before? I understand that the small, spin-motors on these portables often go bad.
