I have the same problem.My dvd plays in Black And White.I found out A bulb in the tv burned out.The tv will still play color,but any dvd player will play in Black and White.The bulb is $130.00 to 230.00.Hope you have a warrenty like i doo.Thanks Hope ive helped.John from Riverside RI.

1. I had the same problem and cured it by fitting a new scart lead. Hope this works for you

Please ensure you have the S-Video cable fully inserted in both the TV and player or ensure the Yellow cable is not plugged into the green jack.

If you're really lucky then you've blown a fuse inside the unit in the power supply ... If not then you night need to consider shopping for a new unit.If it's a fuse, then take it to a repair shop, if it's not, then take it out to the dumpster :) Sorry.
