Panasonic TH-42PD50U 42 in. Plasma EDTV - Page 4 Questions & Answers
Panasonic TC-P42S2 .. Transparent 2 inch wide vertical discoloration on panasonic 42 inch plasma, very left of the screen.
Fixed mine, myself! Black 3 inch vertical band (stripe) appeared after a cros country move on our PC-T50G10. Occasionally we would see white band with multicolored pixel width stripes. Took the risk of taking off the back to see if I could see anything. Found places on sides and bottoms where plastic like 2" flat cables could be seen. Guesstimated where the band was and found that I could flip down a black cover on one end of the cable. Tried to pull it, gently. Mistake. Realized it wouldn't one out like computer hard drive cables, so I took out the screws holding the plate on the other end (it's only an inch long). That allowed me remove the cable. Took it out, cleared away dust, put t back and closed the black over. It worked! Put the screws back in, back on and... we are happy (although I do have four extra screws!). Just be gentle.

No audio on only some stations
Apparently the TVGOS (TV Guide On Screen) signal on CBS stations (since the 6/12/09 digital changeover) can cause the sound to be missing on those channels. Use the SAP button on the remote to page through the SAP options. When you return to the normal setting the sound will be restored. This problem should not occur again unless the SAP button is pressed.

Power light blinks 10 times
You have the same problem i have. My Tv just did the same thing 3 nights ago. I unplugged the set, and let it sit ofr about 6 hours, and then tried it again. It turned on and played, but repeated the problem after about 20 or 30 minutes. So far all my research has led me to believe that its a power supply issue. Problem is, there are 5 boards in the tv with seperate pwer supplies, and the 10 red flashes indicate that its all of them. :-(. Im shopping for a new TV, and It wont be a panasonic this time.

Plasma tv problem
Try checking the cable making sure they are tightly plugged in. My dads Plasma screen started showing orange / brown colors in place of primary red... he had been moving things around and didnt realize the wires were loosened in the process. This made him realize.... GET an HDMI and get rid of all the other cables......

I do not have cable
Yes, It will work. Since the digital to analog converter will be decoding the digital info but sending analog signal to the TV.

2 blinks.
tv shut off
Hello,
The power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
I hope this will help in solving the problem....

Sony Viao HDMI to Panasonic Plasma TV HDMI Input handshake
Try all of your HDMI inputs, one may be rated at the correct voltage to be able to display the video. The offical part that Panasonic was giving for this was PDPHDMIKIT, its basically a HDMI extender that regulates the voltage. The part is still available online, try partstore.com or andrews-electronics.
