Try a factory reset of the receiver. To perform a factory reset, press and hold the MENU and SOURCE buttons until Factory Reset is displayed. Then Power Off from Back panel for 1 minute and power up normally. You may have damaged the receiver if you did not power off before installing the Onyx module.

If you have cables running to speakers, ensure that the cable's have not been disslodged, broken (need a circute tester). If the speakers are within the unit, I suggest you get a technician to check it out or serious damage can be caused. check for corrosion or dirt around the screws that hold that board in place. the screws provide ground at several different places on the pcb that are not otherwise connected. good luck

how old is the amp? if over 20 it probably needs new capacitors, if it is newer, and hasn't been abused, you will need to adjust the slew rate and damping, if you don't know what these are, i'd take it to a shop to have it done and tested. if you do and have an oscilloscope the little pots are near the biasing resistors in the output stage. good luck, with a little work these are great amps.

Yes because HDMI 1 is the only hdmi port on your TV that has ARC. I Believe if you turn down the resolution (the quality of the picture) in the settings on your DVD player it will work on the other hdmi ports. This of course is probably the last thing you want to do. That's technology for you.
