NAD S300 Amplifier Questions & Answers
My NAD S300 stopped working, simply could not
Have someone who has experience working with circuit boards take it apart and look at it. They'll probably be able to tell you what parts can be replaced. If it's anything as simple as capacitors and resistors, then you can find the exact parts you need at
AllElectronics.com When they said it was a multilayer structure, that means either there are multiple circuit boards, or it's all surface-mount soldering on both sides of one board. To be on the safe side, assume it's surface mount. It's much more difficult to work on.
Hope that helps! Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at

Hi, i have a NAD
You may have some dirt/corrosion on the input selectors or other controls. Get a good commercial contact cleaner and spray all the controls. This is best done inside with the cover off rather than trying to squirt through the front plate. If that does not help (or change the sound) then you may have a bad solid-state component (transistor or IC) that will require some help. If things change but don't resolve, then dirt is the issue and you may need multiple treatments.

NAD S300 Amplifer humming
You have either got a bad earth connection, or possibily there's a capacitor failed.
If you can't find a dodgy conection, I would replace the large Electrolytic Capacitors in the power section, they are used to take out 50hz hum in the mains electric, when they go you get that hum coming into your system.

Channel short
Hi there,
sounds like you may have a short to ground on the output transistors. Does it have transistors or an IC output. It is most likely that you have not replaced a mica washer or insulator. Check to ground with a meter from the case of the output devices.

Nad 326bee popping sound?
Does it occur on both channels at the same time, (power supply) or independant channels, (coupling capacitor).

NAD S200 one channel is not working
You have a fault in the power amp. Identify the faulty channel by following the input leads. As, a stereo amp is basically two mono amps put together. You can compare the bad channel with the good one. First thing to do is a visual look around. If you see something odd looking in one channel and it's the faulty one, compared with the good channel, you might have found the cause. Look at the devices or device on the heatsink especially. If nothing stands out, the next thing to do is test the channels. You can do this in two ways. First, by touching the parts on each channel (with power on) with an insulated screwdriver. If you get a buzz in one channel and nothing in the bad one, in the same places of course! You might have located the faulty device. You can do the same with a volt meter. The readings should be the same in each channel. Work forward from the end of the preamp stage. Don't bother with the power supply parts, as they are common to both channels. By the way, don't short anything!

My NAD C542 CD player does not turn on. What can the problem be and is there a fix?
Hi Michael, check inside your NAD C542, there are 4 fuses, check that none is open, if all are well, you could have problems with the capacitors in the area of the power supply or in the case of the Transformer
If you do not have technical capabilities to evaluate the above, consult a specialized technical service
I hope you can solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil
