Please keep in mind that any type of streaming over mobile data maybe limited based on your mobile plan. Whereas if you use, home or office based wifi, the streaming should be more fluid. You can use some functions of the MVDR2102 without a remote. You can play a DVD. You can also record a program (one-touch recording) from an external source or a specific channel. You can't access the timer recording function or finalize a disc without a remote that provides those functions.
