Yamaha PSR-S700 ARRANGER WORKSTATION Keyboards/Midi - Page 7 Questions & Answers
I am having trouble attaching a microphone to a Yamaha Clavinova CVP-601. Any suggestions?
You can use the Line In jack, but you will probably need to use a mic preamp to raise the mic output sufficiently. You can try using an inexpensive mic from an amateur karaoke system or Guitar Hero etc. If that mic has no 1/8 inch mini phone plug, you can look for an adaptor, or have a tech type person set the mic cable up for you. If you want better quality, borrow or buy a professional vocal mic which uses an XLR cable and adapt the cable to plug into the 1/8 inch Line In jack on the keyboard. As I said, if the mic level is not loud enough, you can use a mic preamp, such as the ART Tube Mic Pre, which you can find used, or on a clear-out for maybe $25 to $35. Use a cable with a 1/4 inch connector on one end and a 1/8 inch connector on the other, to connect the mic pre output to the keyboard Line in. Plug the mic into the XLR input of the mic preamp. This will work 100%. Just adjust the mic preamp level controls carefully.

Where can i order replacement keys from for
Go to Yamaha America by phone in California: (888)-892-6242 ask for "parts" Have your model number and serial number ready and which keys are bad. I assume you are talking the keys are showing mechanical damage, as an electrical problem like contacts requires different parts to repair.

Yamaha mo6 keys stopped working. All except the G's and Db's. Was in Voice mode and it literally did that while I was playing. Tried a factory reset already.
The fact that ALL keys except G's and D flats are not working, points to a possible matrix or multiplexing problem.
As shown in the simplified schematic, if any traces (PCB tracks) from the mutiplexer / controller IC are broken, eg if the board has a crack, this could disable all identical notes for all octaves.
Otherwise the controller itself may have a fault.
(Some non-related info):
In reality, the synth's matrix is a bit more complicated than the basic sketch shown for explanation.
Diodes are included per key to prevent 'phantom note playing' and to isolate keys.
Velocity-sensing uses two set of contacts to sense timing from A to B contacts when key is struck.

How can i reset my yamaha dgx 230 ??
Hi
The normal reset is to hold down the highest note ( furtherst white key to the right ) at the same time as turning the instrument on. This will initiate a factory reset.

Where are the fuse in yamaha
YDP 141
Firstly determine that the power supply you are using is providing the correct voltage, check with a multimeter.
If it is correct then you need to open the piano. Look inside where the power plugs in check the little black socket and ensure that there are no breaks where this is soldered to the circuit board - very common problem. If so resolder or replace socket. Does turning the switch on make the red light come on - if not and socket is soldered correctly - suspect the switch - check continuity wilth multimeter, if switch is ok check voltage across pins 1 & 5 on CN2 on board this should read around 12v. if this doesnt show a voltage it is easier just to replace the whole DCIN board # WM227400
