That is about the time it takes a component to heat up again and show a problem,it seems you have isolated the problem good just make sure the components around the Ic are not getting cool too because it might be one of the,if you are sure nothing else is getting cool check the solder conections on the chip and if they are solid just replace the IC.Is a good place to start.

it sounds like someone set your parental controls up, you will need the password or find out how to have it reset

Blue Screen with a red lock in the upper left corner. Just press and hold the display button for about 10 seconds. It should clear it.

my tv did the same thing about one month after i bought it luckily it was still under warranty it turned out that when i had a lightning storm it shorted some fuse inside the part was $100 i tried to replace it myself but it needed a specail tool. good luck

Yeah no color coz its black and white. Color coding commonly yellow wire for video, red and white wire for audio. It should also be from DVD to TV, video out and audio out going to video in and audio in. And switch the TV to play video and the audio inputted. Maybe TV/Video Switch or button.

Here's how you troubleshoot it:

Did you slowly try to set the volume up? Did you hear something?

If yes, then no. Start looking at the speaker, trace its wire connection for loose or broken connection. Did someone chew up it wires to make a broken connection. If the wire connection is good then you can now proceed to output stage of the amplifier circuit. Inspect for the component that is busted, leaking, burn if no physical appearance can be seen then check using how to check component.

I don't recommend you do this by yourself if your inexperience with this. Coz inside the TV, there are plenty of nasty voltages waiting.
