Is there a way to make player play without hooking
The e-brake wire is there for liability reasons. If you're in an
accident and there is a video playing, you will probably be liable.
Also, it is illegal almost everywhere to have a video playing that can
be viewed by the driver. This could get you pulled over and fined. This is why the brake wire is there, so the player knows the vehicle is not moving.
I got everything hooked up.the video is playing
Hello... sorry to hear you are having a problem. There should be a wire on the back of the headunit that is marked "brake". This wire is usually green or pink. You will need to hook the wire marked "brake" together with the black "ground" wire. This should allow the screen to play without the brake being engaged. If this does not work, let me know and I will give you a sequence route to fix the problem.

The green parking brake wire from the Jensen unit needs to be connected to chassis ground. This will enable the viewing of DVDs.

There should be some sort of indication of the wiring on the unit,
sometimes on a label, sometimes moulded into a plastic panel on the
back.
