Techman if that is the case
The best advice I can tell you at this point is to go to tvrepairkits.com and order the complete convergence kit for your model of TV set, no need to search and order multiple parts from different sources and pay multiple shipping fees! The kit comes with original Sanyo STK IC'S , not those cheap aftermarket or china made IC'S full pictorial directions, the thermal paste, resistors, the correct Pico fuses, AND free live on-Line tech assistance in case you run into a problem with the repair. They ship out 2 to 3 day Priority mail, the next day in most cases GOOD LUCK!!!go here please

No sound or picture
Another problem is one or more bad capacitors in the SMPS area. Set will not even try to run if bad.
No sound and no picture
Could have a bad flyback transformer--this is a common problem in these sets. Also there is a capacitor in the flyback ckt. that often gets bad connections and causes a blown H-output and sometimes runs the HV away--killling one or more tubes.
When I turn on tv...green light goes on with a
a noise like you describe is a symptom of what is known as the horizontal output transistor. It would be shorted and along with that the flyback transformer is bad. the flyback is very common problem with the ge version of the rca itc 222 chasis. This repair generally runs 80 to 150 dollars to repair at your local tv shop.. well maybe at our shop but that an average.
How to transport a 56 inch general electric projector tv
I transport them all the time and the best way to do it is to put something down soft in the bed of a truck then lay it down screen first on its face. If you stand it up in the bed of a truck the wind usually destroys the screen. laying them down face first doesnt harm them as long as you have somehing soft to lay it on so the screen doesnt get scratched.
Screen went wide
I don't think this set has a aspect or for that matter a width adjustment so that leaves a shop repair---what has happened is width likely has increased and oddly enough it usually means a cap in the Horizontal sweep area has opened--I say that as it is the most common way--if a short set will shut down.On most of these there were issues with bad solder connections developing in the Sweep circuit where your issue is likely to be.I would if you are able get in the set and remove that board and look carefully under the Transformer for any bad or slightly cracked solder connections, I can't tell you how many of these sets I have fixed that had this issue--lots.I attach a photo of what this type of part looks like, similar but not the exact one---there is only ONE part in the set that will look like this. What most people do not understand is a open connection or even a part that is open (as opposed to shorted) can cause all sorts of issues.Part is called a High Voltage transformer or Flyback Transformer, both names are the same part and sets have been using this type of part for well over 50 years.
The component input only shows red hue
Saw a duplicate of this question--not likely the board in the set---suspect the unit feeding signal has a problem----try another source that is component connected with DIFFERENT cables or flip the cables around to test them----source is likely reason---cable box or?
Ge 52 inch tv green light flashes 3 times then
In searching for the same answer I've found the two following solutions. The first one definitely looking the cheapest by far. I just read it so I haven't tried the first option yet.
1st option:
THIS SOUNDS CRAZY BUT I JUST DID IT ON MINE AND IT WORKS!!!! REMOVE THE LOWER REAR CASE ( ITS THE LARGE BLACK PLASTIC COVER WITH THE VENTS ON SIDE ABOUT 15 SCREWS IT WRAPS AROUND THE LOWER BACK OF TV) USE A HAIRDRYER AND HEAT UP THE LOWER LEFT CORNER OF THE GUTS(AS LOOKING FROM REAR) FOR 5 MINS OR SO THEN TURN IT ON. MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG UNTILL READY TO TURN ON.
2nd option:
Your convergence IC's have burnt out.
Is the Tv worth saving? is it bright and clear? was it good (when it worked?)
if the answer to all of these is yes, then you have a few choices. If any of these are not true, then you should just get a new tv.
Your choices are:
If you are good at soldering, then you can attempt to replace the IC's yourself. (with all of the parts handy, it should take 1 hour)
If you aren't good at soldering, then you can have a friend do it for you, or you can have a mechanic fix it. (tell them that its the convergence IC's that went bad. (pay no more than $200 for the job).
here is what they look like:

(the number may be different)
Here is an idea of what your tv looks like on the inside:

(btw, to disconnect "those" all you have to do is lift up underneath where the white thing bridges the two boards and they will pop up.)
A word of the wise, do NOT open up your tv and attempt this if you don't know what you're doing. There is extremely high voltage inside, even when it's unplugged......so don't get shocked!!!
Power light blinks but will
The ge d52gw12 is a ge version of an rca itc 222. i have worked on hundreds of these at the shop and found with the ge modle 95 percent of the time it is a bad flyback transformer and a shorted horizontal output transistor. While there can be any number of things at fault. This is the first thing to check in this model. At our shop this repair averages 100 to 150 to repair. this varies depending on your location.
