Good: Connect the antenna to the converter box where it says antenna/in. Connect the coax cable to where it says to tv/out on the converter box. Connect this cable to the coax/rf input on the television. Plug in and turn on the converter box and the television. Make sure the television is on channel 3 and follow the setup process that pops up on the screen.Better: Connect RCA cables to the converter box where the yellow red and white holes are. Connect them to an RCA input on your television. If you don't have a red hole on the television that's ok, just connect yellow and white and leave the red plug dangling. Connect the antenna to the converter box where it says antenna/in. Plug in everything and turn everything on. Press the video/input/source button until you have located the setup screen for the converter box and follow the directions on the screen.

It may have something to do with the closed captioning... Hit the menu button, then select Screen. There you should see the options for CC. Try turning it off if they are on. Other than that the issue may not be with your TV but with the reciever for the satellite. Make sure it's not configured for a wide screen (that the aspect ratio is either 1:1, 4:3 and not 16:8)

1. On the front of the TV press the MENU button to display the MAIN MENU.
   
2. Scroll through the choices using the VOLUME up and down buttons
3. When positioned on the selection you want press the MENU button again.
4. The first SETUP screen displays, asking you to select a language.
5. Scroll to the desired language ENGLISH, FRANCAIS or ESPANOL and once it is highlighted in green press the MENU button to make finale selection.
6. A SETUP screen appears asking if you would like the TV to search for all channel
