can you remove it. If you can then check out the numbers on it if you can. then go to Radio shack and buy another diode.

take it off PA and WX and you might find it does.

the modulator box should already be grounded through the electrical outlet its plugged into.

These models have all connections going thru the mic cable. to the lil box.. if your getting supply voltage on the pins at the box.. check for a bad mic cord..

Was your antennae set up professionally? You may have a short in the cable or connections or even a bad antennae and/or a bad match. Was it matched with an SWR meter? Have these checked out because it does sound like an antennae or cable/connector issue.

this could be only two things either the fuse is to low in amps or the protector diode has blown and will need to be replaced

check the SWR's if there high they will cause problems .. make sure your coax is 95%or better shielded type and have someone check the swr on the antenna should be free at any good radio shop..

hi 4fshin you need to check if the cable connection is still fit if not srengthen the cable and it should work if the connection is still strong try to wire it to a new radio stasion and then check if it still doesnt work you need to buy a new one if its work you have a problem with the exit in your machie

Hi, my name is John. That noise you hear is probably coming from switch,such as ,seat belt warning,door,light, key switch , exc. Try running your CB wire strait to the battery, and see if it stops. If not, Radio Shack sells a noise limiter that goes in line with your connection, don't know how much. Do you have your noise limiter or noise blanker switch on the radio?...hope this was very helpful....

Well, first of all, it's your radio. The Cobra 75 is about the worst money you can spend. They transmit at about 3 watts and all of Jeep customers have opted for bigger radios and I have gotten them away from the handheld units and they appreciate it. The issue is your antenna, what kind is it, where is it mounted, has it been tuned? let me know.

Yes that is the problem. You need to get the antenna checked.

Its just RF feed back, that's normal, try to re-route the coax, or just turn the FM down, o try turning your modulation down....hope this was helpful....
